Surv Kill Command Prepatch vs Beta

I saw on WoWhead that the 12.0 Pre-patch PTR has Kill Command for Survival with 2 charges and a 5 second cooldown. But on the beta, Kill Command has no cooldown.

Confused here. 12.0 Survival doesn’t have a cooldown on Kill Command does it? Wouldn’t the class reworks in Pre-patch be the same as Midnight’s launch aside from the apex talents we won’t have yet?

the PTR is effectively “ahead” of beta so I would expect these (poor) changes to be pushed to beta on the next build

Its going to change beta. And for the worse. We now have a focus cost for wildfire bomb and firepitch. Two charges of kill command with a cooldown wont make the class feel any better.

I can already feel being focus starved. Wildfire bombs shouldnt have a cost. Free spells are nice

Yeah i guess they got tired of people complaining about boomstick and decided to give us something real to be upset with. For the first time in like forever we are going to have MAJOR downtime issues.

Because not only is KC going back to having a CD, it also isn’t going to have any of the passives we have on live that help it get reset. This combined with the increased focus cost means we will actively have no focus shortly into every single fight and we will actively have to play much slower and manage everything very closely to extend this.

Horrible change and by far the worst iteration of sv that I have seen in quite some time.

If this makes it to live, what ever people they have that currently play sv will prob just up and quit.

Yeah I was pretty stoked with the beta version, and planning to go Hunter main for the first time ever. But I dunno now. Guess I’ll see when it gets pushed to beta and I can try it at 90. I really dislike downtime.

tbf it feels better at 90 because you have the apex node which makes every other raptor strike a lot cheaper

I’m hoping its just a link error showing the current version of Kill Command vs what it is on beta rn. I was kinda bummed at Tip of The Spear being brought back, but then saw there was no CD on Kill Command so that brought it back for me, but gaining the CD back and losing a charge will kill it for me.

it gains a charge fwiw

So the rotation doesn’t change at all and we get 3 new shiny buttons to press and lose out on Butchery? Thats pretty lame.

there is less bomb spam in midnight compared to tww mostly but the fundamentals are the same

It won’t effect you. You barely play that character.

Just cause I don’t have the same amount of time to play as the sweats doesn’t mean my opinions are any less valid lol

the rotation does change you’re spamming bomb less and need to manage your focus better than compared to TWW

Kill Command shouldn’t have a cooldown. The rotation is much better that way.

You would agree they do have less weight though right? Almost everyone complaining about the new SV are people who barely play SV. Just noticing the trend. Don’t shoot the messenger.

No, we both pay for the sub. We both get the same amount of impact on how the game plays. Just cause you can play for X amount of hours a day compared to my X amount of hours makes no difference. I got KSM, I did some pvp, I did some raiding. I know how the class plays.

The cosmetic complaints i understand but these new changes are so awful that you don’t need to be a vetran full time mythic end game tier sv hunter to know that the focus changes are hot garbage. Lets not with these types of comments because this is a glaring issue that does not need gatekeeping to weigh in on.

It’s the same two people defending the bad Survival Changes in every thread. I won’t name names, but IYKYK.

its the same two people complaining that the spec isn’t their headcanon all the time either so…

They didn’t end up being bad. We tested them thoroughly and all is well for the beta. So yes, being active, testing things and having basic knowledge of the class sure does help. Which you are fully aware of.
