It would be long, multistep solo questline with a decent challenge to it, and significant class fantasy lore in it.
What’s the reward for your specific class?
Demon Hunter - The ability to fly. Upon completion of the questline, you get a Soar ability (Demon Hunter flavor name) that transforms you into Demon Form while flying.
Death Knight - The ability to name and customize your Unholy pet. (but I suppose if you don’t play Unholy then this would be useless to you, so maybe not. would probably need to be something else useful to all specs)

For Rogues? now thats interesting.
Um… well a thing all of the specs share would be related to Vanish and Stealth.
Probably some black smoke effect when reappearing and disappearing?
Death Knight should be eye color customization. My going idea is 5 new colors based on the shadowlands zones where you imbue the power of one of the zones to free yourself from domination magic. Colors would be:
- Sin Red (Revendreth)
- Blight Green (Maldraxxus)
- Ascended White (Bastion)
- Fae Blue (Ardenweald)
- Ash Black (The Maw)

Warlock (Yes another one for them): Shadowflame instead of Green fire.

Warrior could get a number of cosmetic banners that function like the Necrolord one. I use it all the time and I’d love to see more options that aren’t crappy back pieces(because the Necrolord banner doesn’t hide my weapons) or limited duration toys.
And I don’t play druid but I’d make the reward reskin balance(and any relevant spells on other specs too of course) entirely into real nature magic with a bigger variety of plants, not this weird half-astrologer thing it’s got going on.

Druids could become druids of nightmare with a special set of skins for their forms long with some resto/moonkin spells being retinted.
Paladins could become fallen paladins and get more dark themed spells and a special charger.

When you vanish you leave a wood log behind like in those ninja animes. LOL

Frost Mage …
Give us back the water elemental? Frankly though, I rather it be part of our base skill set.
Maybe “freeze water”, you create a bridge of ice across any water surface then everyone can run across it. Very niche use given that flying is everywhere these days.

A Mage elemental quest line.

If I can ask for more than a palette change or swapping out existing animations like Green Fire was, then with mages the sky is the limit, since they can do pretty much anything. You could have an Enchanter theme where instead of Nether Tempest your character levitates a bunch of fallen weapons to attack someone.
Or Telemancer, Arcane Orb instead opens a portal that fires lava or drops a waterfall on your enemies, or sends out a bunch of charging elementals, flying broomsticks, whatever. You can have an Illusionist theme based on mirror images, that’d be cool.
Magic is fun when it’s whimsical and playful, so I’d love something that leans into that. Or maybe just change Pyroblast to a house-sized fireball like Aegwynn used against Sargeras’s avatar and call it a day.
I’m still begging Blizzard to just give us a Tome of Water Elemental or something that lets us summon it as a non-combat pet outside of Icy Veins.
Go to Zul’Farrak and capture a Water Waveling in a pet battle. You can name it and use magic pet biscuits to make it full size.

Oh hey, thanks a ton! I was trying to find a good pet for it that wasn’t crazy expensive on the AH. It’s still a bit small, but way better than nothing.

It uses the old model though. ![:face_with_diagonal_mouth: :face_with_diagonal_mouth:](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/face_with_diagonal_mouth.png?v=12)
there are a ton of options here:
mages get a gold and yellow titanic theme for arcane spells
demon hunters find new demonic forms to master
death knights develop powerful runes, or else can change the color of their eyes
paladins develop alternate palettes depending on race (slightly greenish for blood knights, lavender for draenei, orange for tauren, etc.)
monks could alter the color of their mists to be a soft crimson for chi-ji
rogues and warriors could get unique combat animations. they’re almost entirely martial classes, but they use the same animations as any other. it would be cool to give them something designating a particular mastery of their weaponry
priests could get one of their racial spells back. obviously you can group them, and they can be pretty entirely cosmetic (e.g., gnomes and mechagnomes both get a holy medical insignia, or tauren and highmountain both get a beam from an’she for effect, et al.)
maybe resto gets an air theme? idk
druids and hunters are already eating just fine.
I get two bears by my side at all times and a little curly blonde girl following behind. I can pick out their bear forms and transmog the girl in ANY armor type.
All those neat customization glyphs for elementals wasted on a single Icy Veins phase. Awful.

As much as I want new and improved animations across the board, melee classes should at least get priority with distinctive combat stances.
i concur, tho in my mind warriors in particular deserve the update because it’s kinda their entire point to have command of battle and their weapon. like paladins and dks can overlap, they have a ton of magical vfx to help sell their fantasy. warriors, on the other hand, have visually appeared kinda meh, and some of the new stuff is atrocious (the endless barrage of maces and axes and swords comes to mind). i think it’d be visually subtle but also dynamic and fun.
rogues could also get another pet that sits on a shoulder. the parrot was cool. i want a monkey.

How about a monkey pet that loots for you? Bring me right back to my Silk Road days, lol.
I hear that, though. The new PTR animations for Warrior are definitely not it, but I’d love an animation/vfx overhaul to make them seem like the berserking weaponmasters they are.
