I’m not going to disagree there, but that’s not the topic of conversation, bfa has as much difficulty as you want in it between mythic raids and mythic plus dungeons
So world first raiders in vanilla were all bad, nice chuckle
If they’re using add-ons that play the character for them, then yeah pretty much.
Yeah real firestorm of opposition going on…
I hate BFA too, but Classic definitely can improve in some ways that BFA did
Ya, not into speed runs and spank and tank bs. Its no fun at all for me. It would be better if there was some kind of community but the game forces time limits and speed runs. Its completely the opposite of classic which is supposed to be community based. LFG is the first step in pushing community aside.
I use supermacro as a point but I don’t really think it was THAT wide spread, but every raider had ct_raid, threat meters, dps meters, usually some sort of healing add-on because keeping track of 40 people was rough, and usually some sort of simple boss timer, top guilds created addons as they raided honestly
I’m skeptical of anyone who constantly puts emojis after what they say.
I raided as a healer and didn’t use most of those add-ons.
I don’t agree with time limited runs either, but raids are far from spank and tank… Vanilla was a LOT of spank and tank
And how far did you get? No lying now! Every major guild required quite a few of those
No they didn’t. Hyperbole is admission of defeat.
Yes, they did, ct_raid was required in damn near 100% of serious raiding guilds and by the time threat meters came out in bwl dps were 100% required to have I in almost every serious guild, idk what server you played on, but manno guilds all had required lists of addons
The blizzard UI at the time was horribly inefficient
You sound like someone that required every crutch to be nominally effective. This is what the modern game caters to. I could see why you want Classic to be BfA.
Moving information to better screen space, clearing clutter, and tracking things is not a crutch.
You can’t even quickly access all the action bars on the default UI, you have to page, and that is extremely inefficient.
Also, still haven’t answered my question
Nice to see that instead of saying you weren’t required by guilds to use addons back in the day, that you resort to insults and and bringing retail into this. If you just look on youtube alot of people used addons back in the day, they were required by most guilds. They weren’t as widespread but then again the classic community was much smaller then in bc.
Yea, I could see most casual players not using them or knowing they existed but for raiders between required addons and how bad the base UI was (can’t even move buffs and debuffs???) Almost all raiders did
I’m stating facts. People used addons. I had a couple too. But they weren’t required to complete the content in every raiding guild, and anyone saying they were is simply wrong. The YouTube videos of people with nothing but addons on their screen are not representative.
As he said, in any “serious” raiding guild, they were 100% required.
Again, that’s simply wrong.
