Support doesn't explain bans and they don't have 3rd party software detection

So I’ve been playing wow since p2. Started as a mage, lvled up a warriror to 60 too. And i was lazy to farm gold, so what did i do? I opened 5 more accounts (6 in tota - 1 on hordel), I’ve lvled up 8-10 characters on EACH account to lvl 35 for mooncloth and refined salt production, and then I was chilling, I was clicking my CDs every 3/4 days, swimming in gold, buying consumes and flasks for whole guild etc… 15-30k gold / month, fluctuation bassed on prices.
And then TBC was announced, I did my research and saw that I need lvl 50 in TBC for cooldowns (65 even better).
35—>50 = Maraudon boost

But again I am lazy to learn mara boost and I had loads of gold so I logged in my 4 toons, found some random booster and got summoned in mara, there I was just going in and out on my toons, paying for boosts. Now let me explain in details how I do that. I put 3 of my toons to follow 4th one, alt+tab between windows, go in mara behind wall, pay boost from 1 toon for all 4, and wait guy to hit rdy check while I do whatever I want to do, and then go out, and he resets and repeat.
I was doing that for like 2-3 hours, no idea right now exactly, and went to bed.
Tomorrow I woke up and found all 4 accounts banned for 3rd party server usage. Then i sent tickets from all 4 accounts, trying to ask an explanation why did I get banned and trying to defend myself. After 2 tickets (because they don’t care after 2, you get generic answer “we already did our job and we won’t do it anymore, or you’ll get banned for harrasment”) they unban 2 of my accounts, and 2 change from perma ban to 6 months ban…
So normaly I wouldn’t care for a bit less gold, but my MAIN was banned for 6 months.

Like can some GM or whoever explain me why did I got banned in first place, alt + tab is not multibox which I am well aware i’ts not allowed? In details explanation, not just “you got banned for THAT”, explain on which grounds did you conclude that I was using 3rd party software or whatever you decided it was…
Because as I see it, blizzard doesn’t have 3rd party server detection, they just check if more accs are logged at same time and if enough ppl reports it i guess they ban you then.

You should probably go google Blizzard Warden software.

Thanks for insight, but anyway it’s flawed in that case, or alt+tab is not allowed anymore which i doubt…
And again, 2 accs got unbanned, 2 still banned, I really want explanation for this. Logic behind it doesn’t make sense.

Blizzard will never explain such on this topic. There isn’t any doubt they will do this for this case or any others down the road. If you want the others unban, files tickets for them. No one on the CS forum, namely the blues, will look into the matter and give details.

I would send more tickets (than 2) but then they can consider that a harrasment and perma ban my main.
It’s stated in the ticket response. So in which way to go now?

There’s nothing you can do I’m afraid, if you reached the point that their response already mentioned about giving you additional sanctions if you opened more tickets. There’s people mistakenly got banned and try as they might, Blizzard might not unban them at all (I found 2 people when I was active here a couple months back who got banned but eventually got unbanned after multiple tickets).

You said you have 2 unbanned and 2 still-banned accounts, are these licenses in one Battlenet account or they’re 4 Battlenet accounts total? Did a different GM unban those 2 and kept the ban on the other 2?

At this point you move on! Nothing else you can do and they will never give a detailed explanation of why or what they found and how.

They do not just go around randomly banning peoples accounts for no reason. They do so because they saw something in the logs to show your account or accounts where doing something that is not allowed.

it’s a common misconception that the gaming session immediately prior to the account action being taken, is the one which triggered the account action.

blizzard don’t take your word for it.
they use their logs.

First off, you’re not going to get any further explanation, Balmondd. They will never explicitly tell you what you were doing and when you did it. Whatever you did, it triggered Warden and now here you are. Blizzard doesn’t go into the exact details because it (a) gives people the information they will try and armchair lawyer their way out of it, or (b) alerts botters (not multi-boxers per se) to how they’re being detected, which makes it all the harder to go after them.

The appeals process is not a place for people to plead their case. It is only for a fresh pair of eyes to go over the entire investigation to ensure there were no errors made. That’s it. This isn’t a court of law.

You’ve submitted your appeals, and they’ve been upheld. Technically you are not supposed to discuss or debate your sanction and rulings here or anywhere on the forums, it’s against the rules. Now, here on CS there is some leeway for education purposes, but to forestall any arguing, there is nothing anyone can do here as there are no GMs here. Yes, there are Blues who may or may not pop in, but they are SFAs and can do nothing more than provide advice and insight - and that is not guaranteed.

Also a point of clarification. Multiboxing is allowed. It is not supported and there is software (Broadcasting) that is explicitly illegal to use. Even if you have something installed for work or another game, Warden can and will notice it, whether you’re using it for WoW or not. So that is something to be mindful of. That isn’t to say that is what caused this issue, I’m just addressing it since you had said:

This took some tracking down - given you put them all under separate Battlenet Accounts with DIFFERENT NAMES. Any account you access should be registered to YOUR name - with YOUR real address. The two still suspended obviously aren’t on either count.

We have reviewed this through several GMs now. No further appeals are going to be entertained and indeed - further contact could result in account action for GM harassment.
