the link on the realm status page to the service status forums links to the old forums.
the current service status forums don’t have a post re: 3/18 maintenance – just the (likely auto recurring) post for Tuesday morning 3/19 maintenance.
These are small, but so easy to get right…
PS: it’s bnet maintenance on 3/18, wow on 3/19. Clarifying this for people would also help. (the twitter account explains this, but not other channels…)

Very little that anyone here does is “auto”, those posts are created every week manually, after we receive notification of maintenance. Functionality wise, there isn’t an automatic recur option for the forums.
As for why there wasn’t a post for 3/18, assuming you mean the maintenance this morning, that was specifically for Battle.net, not World of Warcraft. Battle.net Breaking News is usually posted exclusively in the Battle.net App.
It did impact WoW players though, so we may consider posting there in the future to cover all bases.
