I can’t wait to run into the dark portal and start questing and playing one of the best expansions Blizzard has created. I still haven’t decided which class I want to play.
I’m gonna have fun regardless of the doomsayers.
What are you going to play?

I know Im way behind, but I havent even decided my class. I main warr in classic, have an rogue alt. Also have a mage and shaman. If anything Ill probably main the rogue till i figure out what I want to play
Rogue is a great choice for PvP. It does “ok” with raiding but really starts to shine when you get decked out in tier 6 stuff.
Rogue. : )
Really excited for 3v3 and 5s with the boys
Raids will be fun too!
I’m unsubbing because someone datamined an ugly lizzard mount.
Whoops, no, I meant warlock and hunter.
Well this will be barried under the mountain of forum negativity soon. The doomsayers will not abide it.
I’ll be multiboxxing a team of prot paladin, 2 hunters, mage, and resto druid. I have it all leveled so far except the paladin because I’m Horde. I want to see how much I can solo (without the banned input software obviously). I enjoyed twinking in retail (until Blizzard killed it) and played some 49s and 59 in classic so I plan to make some 59s and 69s in TBC. I like the higher level brackets and I like that 69 can play EOTS.
I like being independent so self gearing at 69 is a challenge I set for myself. Shadow labs might give me some grief. I also want to be able to solo most of ZG but I don’t forsee that being a big problem. I don’t discuss my plans to make twinks often because people can be prejudice about it. Mostly I like not having a gear treadmill and being able to get BiS then queue as much as I want.
Twinks are generally less work then getting a fully geared max level. It’s also interesting how every bracket is uniquely different, whether that is talents, spells, mounts, or gear options. Twinks have some of the most close knit communities you’ll find in wow.
I really like casual BGs. Sometimes there isn’t enemy twinks so you just stomp the enemy but that can get really boring fast (and kills queues). I’m hoping there is decent competition like there was in vanilla classic. There is some concern that queues will be bad for low level pvp. In classic I played 49s and as Horde and the queues were sometimes over 30 minutes midday. I think 69s will be very active so I plan to put a lot of work into those characters.
Personally I will go for a Prot Paladin for my tank and Hunter for my DPS.
I am giddy with excitement for TBC release.
I might level a paladin on horde side. The belf starting area is fun.
Human Ret and Tauren Arms War (31 atm, boosting him). Not sure what to do with the other classic alts, some will stay in classic and maybe some will go to tbc. not sure, will cross that bridge a little bit later.
For me right now, hype is bigger for the prepatch where i can get the GM 2H sword for AV marks and honor and then do some 60 arenas on my ret with crusader strike.
Level 60 arenas? What? I thought arenas were a max level thing only.
in prepatch 60 is max level
Don’t you have to go to Nagrand to register your team?
I thought so but I only did a little bit back in the day and that’s what I thought.
what do you mean?? Rogue is OP with pvp gear on
I can’t wait, it’s driving me crazy. I leveled a troll shaman when classic released since I was alliance in vanilla but basically got him to 60 then quit. Leveling a night elf druid right now though. Was my main in vanilla and TBC and will be again for TBC classic.
All of them.
u can do skirmishes right?
Considering that, as someone who quit playing in Cataclysm, I have no idea what a “skirmish” is (don’t tell me, I don’t care), I’m guessing the answer is “no.”
I guess I’m confused by your confusion lol. Rogue is a monster in pvp in TBC but they are middle of the pack dps in raids until tier 6.
That might be different this time as there were buffs and nerfs as TBC progressed. We won’t see those buffs and nerfs this time as we are getting the final talents and changes directly at launch because Blizzard is using patch 2.4.3 right off the bat.
It very well may be that rogues perform better than everyone is expecting because of that patch.
I honestly don’t know. Do you need to be in a team for the skirmishes?
Sorry man, I hope I am not dashing your dreams. I just don’t know and am very curious myself.
