Sulfuras Alliance collapsed when TBCC launched. I am (was) a Day 1 Sulfuras player, on both Horde and Alliance. Sulfuras had a solid population size and a decent faction balance, up until TBCC launched. Between June and August 2021, the Alliance population collapsed, to the point where there was consistently <1000 Alliance players during peak hours (but with 4000 Horde players during the same time).
Why did Sulfuras Alliance collapse? Well, that’s going to be debated, but as someone who was there, the GREAT BENEDICTION MIGRATION is what did it. Real shame, too – Sulfuras Alliance rallied together during the AQ40 event to deny Grizzly their Scarab Lord title. So it’s not like Sulfuras Alliance was struggling from Day 1 of Classic.

exactly and it will probably happen again.

Yea ppl can stop one guild if the rest of the horde allows it.
Great, thanks – apparently the rest of the Horde did allow it, since other Horde guilds were able to get their Scarab Lord, but Grizzly specifically was not. \o/
Yea i remember Grizzly from Stalagg where they had toons on both factions to stop ppl from farming devilsaur leather.
You say that when the whole reason that server started to die was due to wpvp.

Facts… I started on this server l and it was bunpin at the time
Grizzly still got their scarab Lord btw, he xferred off and got it on a dead server.
You are trying to bring people to Sulfuras, it is better that you say your intentions and not hide them under false information

Why can’t both of these things be true? There’s nothing wrong with letting people know a server isn’t as dead as initially thought
Can we transfer lvl 70 dks to sulfarus?
Why in the world would my intentions be malicious? Benediction is the largest pop server by far and a quarter of the people there moving HERE would instantly make Sulfuras the best server in the game.
It’s easy-to-do math and if enough people get tired of sitting in ques it will happen, it IS happening.

Its easy to know why players left. No rdf. That means if you want a chance to play with other players. You go where the players are.

Who is dying to queue for random low level dungeons right now?
Lol get over it, RDF is not happening and no one is avoiding dead servers because it is not there.
What a joke.

Deny it all you want. I didnt say it would solve it. I said it is the reason why it happened. I wasnt lookong for your conformation. I dont need it. Live in denial all you want. Its a fact. Every player that transfered to a mega server used that logic. More players equals more opportunity to group. And low level dungeons are a small part of the benifits of rdf. A very small part.

If you’re playing solo, that makes sense, if you have a guild and RL buddies playing on a server, it’s just dumb to think that everyone will xfer over night
Lack of RDF is probably the biggest reason many servers died. It’s easy to find raiders, what’s not easy is alts/fresh players finding dungeon groups for quests/attunements/rep when 90% of the server is raid logging a few weeks into the xpac.
RDF solves this issue, which is the whole reason it was implemented in the first place.

Exactly. I would have gladly stayed on my old server if rdf was available. I didnt want to transfer to the bot dominated servers. With no chance of finding a group, it wasnt really an option.
