I am with you. I need a clean slate feeling to start over again… the ability to restore a deleted character somehow makes the slate not clean.
Please allow perma-delete!

I totally get it and understand why. I’m constantly leveling stuff up only to delete it. I don’t like seeing too many characters on my select screen or any unused space. Then when I restore, I see a bunch of stuff that meets Blizzards criteria for permanently deletion…yet there they are. I even have characters from an ex girlfriend. Being reminded of that crap show of a relationship every time I want to restore something…it’s heartbreaking.
Truth is, most people fail to see past their own wants and needs that they also fail to consider other peoples wants and needs. That includes Blizzard. What may seem like a niche issue for many…is a huge issue for people with OCD or traumatic experiences. A lot of players aren’t going to get it, or care if something on your account bothers you because it doesn’t affect them. I’ve met a lot of people playing this game and not all of it was good experiences. Just give people the option to do with their account as they see fit. Game is almost 20 years old, yet the $15 a month is the same. Every other business in the world gives you something in return for being a loyal customer. I know it’s not the issue we’re talking about. But…come on Blizzard.
