I think there used to be a suggestion forum … does anyone know where it went?
We just use the forum closest to the suggestion - classes, pvp, general, etc.
The Suggestion Forum was a bit messy with everything tossed together. Separating more by topic proved more productive.
That’s too bad … I am envisioning a lot of unsupportive comments from users in a more general setting
Depends on suggestion general is a catchall profession go in profession dungeon in the dungeon class in the specific class forum or u can use the in game suggestion feature.
If you don’t want to see these sorts of comments at all, there are a couple ways to avoid dealing with them.
One – Make a thread on the most relevant forum, outline your suggestion and the reasoning behind it as clearly as you can in the first post, and then – after posting the thread – scroll down to where you see a bell icon with the word “Watching,” “Tracking,” or “Normal” next to it. Click on that and select “Muted.” Then, close the thread and never come back. You won’t be notified about anyone posting in the thread, and it won’t show up under “Latest.”
Two – Instead of using the forums at all, log in to the game, hit Esc, and click Support at the top of the menu. On the in-game Support page, click “Submit feedback or bug report,” then “Submit a suggestion.” Type your suggestion in the text box and hit Submit. Your suggestion will be routed to the dev team and no other players will see it.
That’s what Blizzard finds valuable: the discussion around the suggestion. It’s how good ideas evolve into great ideas, and how bad ideas are sorted out of the mix.
There have been plenty of unsupportive comments that run the gamut over most every forum. There is a big difference though, of unsupportive versus unconstructive and abusive.
If someone wants to just let 'er rip, as it were, with inappropriate language and just rage spewing out so that you don’t even know what you’re reading - save for that someone isn’t happy with something? That kind of thing doesn’t really belong anywhere on the forums.
Someone who clearly and concisely lays out their issue, no matter how unflattering it may be but so long as it falls in line with the CoC? That is permissible. Or just send it through the in-game suggestion and feedback interface so as to keep it private between you and Blizzard to remove the likeliness of your threads being derailed and potentially removed all together. Blizzard accepts all feedback in the proper channels, again, just so long as the language or whatnot falls within the Code of Conduct.
If you open up the help menu in-game, there is a feedback/suggestion option that gets routed to the devs.
