To give some context, I’m taking inspiration from the very nice talent you introduced on the resto tree:
Thriving Vegetation - Rejuvenation instantly heals your target for 15%/30% of its total periodic effect and Regrowth’s duration is increased by 3/6 seconds.
I think there should be a talent OR a component added to our dots in the balance spec whereby moonfire, sunfire, and stellar flare also hit harder ‘when the periodic effect is not already present’.
That way it would scale with our overall damage as the game progresses while also compensating for the time it takes to spread them and being less punishing if mobs die fast or if we let a dot fall of accidentally (OR in PvP get dispelled since our current dispel protection is useless, situational at best, and mostly not taken at all).
Like the undesirable current iteration of the eclipse system, ramp is an issue in this spec, particularly in M+. Dots are the beginning of the issues and the current eclipse system sits right next to those in the problem, which I posted about here:
