Subscriptions are not changing

That’s most def a reason. They want higher sub numbers to share. I personally used the 30day non sub option because I enjoy earning gold in game and using that to play. I don’t want to be forced to sub with real money or pay for 60 days of game time. I’ve never subbed to anything for 60 days in advance because the product might turn out to suck.

This needs to be repeated again and again until we get an answer.

How does this change benefit or help us in any way at all?

You’re just repeating the same thing over and over again.

Can you answer this simple question:

Why are they removing this option? It hinders people. It is nefarious BECAUSE it hinders people.

Start holding corporations responsible and accountable instead of blindly defending this.

There is literally zero reason to take away the 30day option other then to bank on people subbing and forgetting.

Yes, the token is still 30 days of gametime.

If you have a recurring sub = You are not affected.
If you redeem tokens for 30 days gametime = You are not affected.
If you pay with a credit card for 1 month at a time = You are affected.*
If you redeem tokens for Bnet balance and then use it to buy blocks of time (other than 60 days) = You are affected.

*Not really, since as mentioned you can sub and when it clears, cancel the sub.

Not being combative, just inquiring — does Blizzard really offer no alternative to credit/debit cards for subscriptions in your country? In the US they offer PayPal which can pull from a bank account (no card needed). Seems like a large oversight if they don’t offer equivalents in other countries.

You can still do that. That option did not go away or change.

Description Cost (USD) CC PayPal Debit Bnet Bal WoW Token
:clock930: 1 Month Day reoccuring Subscription* $14.99 X X X
:clock11: 3 Month reoccuring Subscription* $41.97 X X X
:clock12: 6 Month Day reoccuring Subscription* $77.94 X X X
:flying_disc: WoW 30 day game time token (with gold) Gold
:credit_card: 60 day Game Time Card/Block $29.99 X X X X
:dollar: Battlenet Balance (your account)** Flex X X X X

*If you don’t want your Subscription to automatically renew, wait for it to clear the payment (several days), then cancel the Sub on the account. You can do this every month if you like.

Subscriptions are new here, they were introduced to us in November 2020 and are credit card only.

Yeah, just take away the option to purchase in bulk the time via gold after converting to bnet balance. But shhhhhh…you arent supposed to remind people of that little piece right? Just keep telling people its all the same and nothing has changed and blizzard changed it for no real reason lol.

I did not say nothing had changed. You might be mixing me up with another poster.

Of course they have a reason. I just don’t know what it is, nor do the rest of the players.

I am happy to explain that difference. It should not be secret at all. Further, players who are impacted certainly should provide their feedback about it.

Please don’t mix up trying to explain changes to people with some sort of blind defense of said changes. They are not the same thing at all. My role is mostly information - not trying to convince people that they have to like a change. That is their own decision to make.
