Que times are too long, and I can’t play when I want to.
I should not have to make compromises for something I am paying for.

Free. Server. Transfer.
Their only solution is to move to a half dead server only to spend $35 to transfer back, they couldn’t even bother throwing people a two way transfer just a one way.
The worst part is that they were told many times over and over to fix server stability, they had years of data and feedback and deliberately ignored it in order to cash out on transfers.
I predict Wrath Abridged (Since we’re not getting original Wrath anymore) will most likely not sustain a big playerbase past the first couple months if they keep going along their current trajectory.
Too much greed and not enough common sense with the current Classic Dev team which is unfortunate because a lot of us were looking forward to Wrath.
I. Like. My. Server.
Two-way transfer for what exactly? If you’re just gonna rubberband back when you realise the ded servers are ded then lol. It’ll just put us in the same situation we’re in now.
Well I mean I see it like this, either you want to play right away or you don’t. People were fully aware of what the full servers consist of.
Thing is they are only full because blizzard doesn’t make them better lol
Virtually no one is going to go for it, the current servers will remain impacted and the only way anyone would bother going is if you gave them a 2 way transfer so they don’t have to spend an extra $35 to get back.
In the meant for the people who left, they can try to find a solution on the bigger servers which they most likely won’t so at that point it’s common decency to offer it at the bare minimum as it is their mistake, not the players.
If enough ppl transfer, the server will be fine. This is literally a bunch of small children who are too scared to get into the swimming pool.
Read my response here:
I actually transfered to my server when it was medium / high because they got rid of Kromcrush, then my server filled up, now I have to wait to play, so they want me to transfer again. Its silly.
I agree, but still either way you have an option to transfer off the server. I am annoyed at the queues too but I don’t think they’re all that bad if you think about other games. I remember back in FFXIV if you would get dced while waiting in queue for Endwalker. And you were all the way back to square one. No option to even transfer off the server even. I’m not saying this to justify the server situation, but I think it’s tolerable that’s all.
So you roll on a server that you know is quite overloaded… pass on the free transfer… and come to the forums to yell at the internet?
I get it. Queues suck. This problem exists because Blizzard allowed so many people to pile on these servers. They’re also giving you an out. So… ![]()
I came originally from Kromcrush, Blizzard killed Kromcrush and sent my character to Fearlina, now I have to switch again from a server I like? No.
Thats not how this works, Blizzard works for US, they are here to serve US. Not the other way around.
There’s really two ways out of this.
On a per time zone basis Blizzard needs to combine all the servers dominated by one faction and then just let layers dictate so everyone wins.
Or
Blizzard needs to connect all the small realms and make the mega servers hurt for login times so people xfer off to viable medium population realms to try to balance them out.
The former is what people don’t seem to want because of community issues, but the latter is likely not long term sustainable because players will inevitably screw it up over time.

The only problem with this is that players constantly screw this up. If Blizzard takes no action players slowly shift themselves into faction dominated mega servers time and time again, with very few deviations. Grobbulus is an exception, not something they can recreate regularly.
If Blizzard tries to take action it still doesn’t work out for them, and nothing happens. They try to fix dead servers, but no one wants to help because no one wants to be the sacrificial lamb to make the game a better place; which quite frankly is understandable because unless you are just a solo player being on a dead server doesn’t serve your purposes. Even if they lock down server transfers to a specific server that server still sees exodus over time as the faction balance breaks down. Once a server starts to see a faction start to die off the shift changes rapidly.
My server saw this happen quite quickly. We had a healthy Horde/Alliance poputlation, but Alliance dwindled over time. By TBC they were absolutely dead. Then the remaining Horde population did just fine throughout T4, but started to struggle in T5. Maybe a fourth of the way into T5 the server was officially dead and we were all gone. It snowballs quickly.
claps you have mail…
Shouldn’t have to wait in a 5 hour Que to clear some damn mail just to be able to switch realms…
Quit siding with blizzard who is clearly doing a terrible job with server management … I mean I guess that’s what happens with small indie company’s right?
I’m not siding with Blizzard. I’m on neither side when it comes to these queues, do I think they should be fixed? Yes, I do. But is it really enough for me to complain about? No,
Might join you. Its a shame cause I like the game and want to play it, but what am I paying for if its just unplayable until everyone is 80 and finished grinding?
