Hey Blizzard, I have a few questions, if that is alright.
First, is there any chance of being able to create or otherwise play as a troll using an updated version of the Amani and Drakkari troll models?
They already exist within the Horde, as an off-shoot tribe of the Amani, the Revantusk in the Hinterlands, before BFA (I don’t know if they are there currently, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t be). Furthermore, if Zandalar itself is deeply allied with the Horde and is even represented within the horde council I see no reason why it wouldn’t work lore wise.
Second, is there any chance of seeing the demon hunter class expand to more races?
I, for one, think that it would be highly plausible that orcs and draenei could be potentially trained as DHs. Orcs have plenty of unused assets such as the red fel orcs from the Burning Crusade, and the dark fel orcs from Warlords of Draenor. Red Draenei are already playable in the game, along with demon corrupted Sargerei everywhere in Legion, so I think the workload for that one, both lore and system wise would be fairly light.
Lastly, is there any chance of a return of the class hall system, or perhaps more race/faction specific story telling?
These systems wouldn’t even need to be the primary system of story delivery, or be relevant power wise, but their simple presence would do wonders for the overall feeling of each class and race chosen, assuming consistent effort, granted. Rewards could range from glyph-like changes to skills, class specific transmogs or mounts, or simply padding out the activities of the player character during the expansion, say as a little patch bonus questline. I understand that this may be a more labor-intensive concept, but I believe that some quality side stories in each and every expansion would do wonders for player retention and ultimate satisfaction.
I’m sorry for this being a long, nerdy spiel, but sincerely, thanks for your time. I think this whole Q/A is a good look for World of Warcraft. I’m looking forward to the future of Azeroth!
