Good job Blizzard, you gate beta chances behind a sub (not even guaranteed) so anyone who hasnt either played in years that could provide feedback for classic is sequestered to the forums with radio silence, or hoping that their tweets are read. or for those unlucky enough to unsub from BFA because lets be honest (BFA is not good) have no chance either. Because BFA players are the ones who wanted classic, and nevermind the people who actually were unsubbed for extended time for various reasons who have been clamoring for classic what ever the reason may be that could offer feedback. This just reeks of an attempt to grab subs with no guarantee at Beta access.

A beta that requires you to pay for. They normally don’t require active subs to participate. I for one am not going to resub just to participate in a beta, just so they can squeeze out as much money as they can.

Sets a bad precedence from the get go. why would I want to pay for not even a guaranteed chance to a game currently I dont enjoy (BFA) when they have for years flagged inactive accounts for beta. and retail players testing classic currently, yikes

Literally, its just a cash grab. and people want to test the beta, not pay first for that slim margin of possibly getting in. People do not want to resub to BFA for no reason or purpose.

Have to agree that active sub is absolute BS. The Classic opt-in has a separate button, it’s not like you’re going to invite people who have old opt-in settings.

I feel like it makes sense to give beta invites to subs, why would they aimlessly send invites out to god knows how many old emails associated with WoW accounts that don’t even have subscriptions to the game anymore. That’s a lot of invites that might be just left sitting at the bottom of someone’s email when it could go to someone who actively plays.

This isn’t even an issue anymore, if they still have the launcher installed it literally will show up on the launcher.
Sure, tell that to the plethora of people who tested past betas for previous expansions who weren’t subscribed. beta testing isn’t a service its performing a service I SHOULD NOT have to pay to perform a service.

This is a pure cash grab. Much of the retail/live crowd is not interested in Classic. While most/much of the Classic crowd is not interested in paying for a “chance” to get into a beta.
