I mean you are correct but if you are stressing the servers you want a large pool, not a limited.
I gotta stop reading the feedback thread…the responses just disappoint me.
Maybe they think mmo means modestly multiplayer, or minimally multiplayer?
they completely threw out the MM and kept O…“Only me”.
I feel it’s quite odd to read people saying there’s “too many people”.
For example, someone said there’s so many people, he can’t kill wolves and gnolls.
Meanwhile, i’m sitting here, wondering how that’s an issue and not something really exciting and cool too have so many people play the game with you in the same place all at once.
Who cares about those wolves and gnolls when there’s so many unique players?
Am i missing something, or are the quests, wolves and gnolls really so much more interesting than the crowds filling up this RPG fantasy style world?
I would like to actually play the game I’m paying money for, especially since 90% of those “unique” people are going to be mouthbreathers I never want to see again.
That’s not a retail attitude at all.
Right!!!
I get my chance, and have for years, every time I log on to my toons on the private servers that made this whole thing possible You are all welcome
mmmhhhmm. You personally did nothing for me. But whatever you tell yourself at night to go to sleep. All good.
Take care
It really depends on how you play- I’m a solo quester at heart, and though I had some fun buffing everyone with Mark of the Wild, I wouldn’t be happy with the classic realms if I couldn’t play solo and get my quests done.
Then again, I’m probably not the target audience here- I’ve been playing WoW long enough to remember what it was like back then, and although there’s a lot of issues I’d nitpick, I’m generally happy with the game over on those other retail servers. I get the impression that some people are expecting Classic to be some kind of ultimate hardcore social experience, while what it looks like we’re getting is a faithful recreation of how it was back in the day, starting area quests and all.
Evidently Blizzard didn’t think they needed any from the un-subbed group to properly execute the stress test. Only they really know what the objectives were for this test. Unless they say otherwise and plan something else, I have to assume they are getting what they need.
Nah. We got classic because of IP protection from illegal pirates
If that were the case, they wouldn’t keep the realms open for 45 hours after the main test finished. Furthermore, in the first two stress tests they had the F6 feedback button system enabled and popups for every quest etc.
They are certainly aware that lots of the people in the stress test would like to stick around a bit and just try things out. I suspect, since it cost them minimally, they leave the realms up for awhile just to reward the people who took the time to try things out during the test. No mystery really.
I’m sure they’ll do a no-sub required stress test before launch…
I mean I hope they do…
Did you just refer to Blizzard and ‘rewards’ LOL. Of course it’s not a reward xD, they don’t do things like that, that’s why everything is pay walled, including betas and stress tests.
I suspect your feedback would not be valuable if you can’t grasp the difference between a stress test and a beta.
The second I saw the feedback post I thought the same.
How could you want feedback from an audience that likes phasing, sharding and layering. It’s a fundamental part of the current WoW experience. A fundamental part of their experience. Being alone, having everything ready at any time without any trouble. That’s their jam.
Asking those people to judge the size of layers is like asking an upcoming WoW Classic customer how he feels about the amount of epics falling from the sky in the current game.
You’re not going to get an answer that satisfies the player base the game was made for.
This is counter productive.
Then why are you trying to comment on people talking about their experiences with layering? You weren’t there and you didn’t test so stop telling people who did they are wrong in giving feedback that there were too many people in some layers. I made an undead rogue and there were likely 50-75 people trying to do the first quest at the same time. There are only about 15 spawn points for those mobs which makes it nearly impossible to complete as every spawn point is camped by 4-5 people. You want to give feedback? Then join the stress test and tell about your personal experience. Don’t give something you saw on twitch or heard second hand as evidence the people saying the layering was off are wrong.
I played in vanilla too. Right now if their goal with layering is to make those opening zones playable on launch day then it is not adequate. I don’t care to hear about some fringe situation in a layer in the druid starter zone that had 12 people and one guy complaining. That is the exception and not the norm right now. If you think otherwise then feel free to test it yourself. Northshire is STILL packed with about 100-125ish people on my layer.
This whole thread smells like a bunch of babies crying because they didn’t want to pay and still wanted to test.
You honestly have a bias and have no clue as to what live players are all like.
The game is being made for us all!!
Thanks
