I was just coming in to provide one.

They believe they found the issue and are working on a hotfix that should help those impacted, but I do not have an estimate on when that will be done and in place.

I too am having this issue. I have done all of the mentioned “fixes” and even uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing has helped so far. I am glad I’m not the only one, hopefully this will get looked into soon. I must see my vault!

I’m not sure where the “fixes” are coming from but this issue has nothing to do with your addons or installations. Please do not reinstall, that will not help.

I log in to a character and it gets to about 90 percent and then back to character screen with a character not found error, what do i do?

I am having exactly the same problem but only affecting Lvl 80 characters all other characters log in fine

This is happening to all of my characters on Area-52.
Each time loading bar gets to 90-95% complete, stays there for a while. Then I’m back at the character selection camp screen with a window that says “Character Not Found.”

I am also having this issue. Tried some fixes mentioned on posts from 2017, like deleting cache in WTF folder, to no avail. All of my characters across 3 realms are affected.

Prob is a server issue
Some people, including me, cant even log in, game is stuck in “retrieving character list”

Disabled all addons, updated windows, graphics drivers, network adapter drivers, scanned and repaired twice, restarted wow, bnet and my computer multiple times…I think I’ve done everything listed in every self-serve website.

My Zul’jin toon can be logged in just fine but all of my Sargeras ones yield “Character not found” which are my main and current alts lol. There are also others currently playing on Sargeras.

Now what?

That is generally what happens when you are suddenly disconnected. The character still exists in-game according to the system. It usually takes about 5-15 minutes for the system to kick the character out.

Thanks for the reply - none of my Sargeras characters have been able to connect since patch and I’ve been trying since they came back up.

Stuck on “Retrieving character list”. Another player on the same network is fine. Tried rebooting etc. None of my accounts work. Tried multiple computers (no addons). Anyone else stuck? I get a weird blue bar at the top of the character screen that I’ve never seen before too.

My thread got closed but I had a slightly different issue. My character list is retrieved just fine. I can see the realm list and connect. I can access the warband screen. It almost loads in, the music cuts out…and then goes back to the warband screen with “character not found”
