i can open the game now. just go to retail folder and click on WoW. that open the game directly, you need to put the pass
Not working for me either
Launching wow.exe from the program folder gets me around the issue, but as soon as I exit everything and bring back up battle.net launcher it goes right back to initializing.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they actually checked to make sure things worked before forcing updates?? I tried everything here, nothing worked.
This worked for me as well
Mine won’t even run from explorer. That seems weird.
This worked for me also, Thank you so much!
Cheers!
Same here rebooted…and nothing
I left my launcher updating for over 2hrs to no avail.
Closed the launcher.
Went into the game directory in windows explorer. …/World of Warcraft/retail/…
Ran Wow.exe
The game started up, entered my PW and I logged in as normal.
Ran the launcher while I was loading in and it was no longer updating.
Not sure if that helps anyone.
Worth a try thx
I did the same thing here, ran the EXE file through the retail folder, launched game without the blizzard app. Worked.
I have also had to launch it via the EXE file
Worked thx!
Already deleted retail and cant get it back. Before I could try that exe trick. Then in the process I deleted classic lk. But that was able to reinstall with no issue’s. Guess kind of boned for retail tonight. Off to classic to get a toon killed multiple times while leveling.
Goto %programdata% and deleting the battle.net folder. That worked for me.
Ok, I finally got in. I went to this page and followed the instructions.
Launching from the exe file worked for me. When I peeked at the launcher, the update stopped and the play button was highlighted. I exited the game and the update resumed in the launcher.
Hoping for a post from Bilzz about this soon.
Had the same problem. Launching from the .exe file then launching the launcher worked for me.
This method worked for me.
Thanxs man!
Worked for me, thanks!
Delete Battlenet folder in the ProgramData folder.
