Hey to the CS hivemind…
I have a character on the quest The Temple of the Jade Serpent. I need to talk to Elder Sage Wind-Yi. Problem is… the temple grounds are, for some reason, already in the sha invasion mode. Wind-Yi is not present.
I have tried abandoning and re-accepting the quest, logging out and in, and even quitting the game entirely. I checked Wowhead and found no mention of this bug.
Clarifications: I’ve been leveling on a common path (using the Wow-pro questing guide) and in Chromie Time. This is the first character of several that has had this issue.
It’s likely a different quest in your log causing the phasing.
It is the sole Pandaria quest in my log. The other two are the SL and DF intros, which should have no effect here.
Which character?
Quests also don’t necessarily have to be in your log, per se. But you could be halfway through another quest line that’s already phasing you out.
I should, perhaps, add that I’m following wow-pro guides which have led me through this path multiple times without issue. It’s weird that this character is stuck out of correct phase.

And no, it’s the final stretch of the zone I think? Achievement for the zone shows I lack The Temple of the Jade Serpent, The Battle for the Forest, and Overcoming Doubt… which all happen in that order.
Have you tried talking to Zidormi, the NPC that returns the zone to it’s original state? Here’s a video that shows where she is.
I’ll go look… but I’ve not reached the Vale. I know the effects can spill over into Grookin Hill (which is close to the Vale) but I’ve not had issues while using Chromie Time.
I’ll add a few of these details to my OP.
Edit: No, I still have the pre-BFA Vale. Zidormi is not present and this character only did 3/7 Zuldazar stories in BFA.
FWIW, it no longer matters to that character… she hit 60 and left Chromie Time.
I reported this as a bug. Still curious if it was, or if there’s anything to be done whether it was or not.
