I am not sure where to post this. My havoc dh on Dawnbringer can’t get past Bastillax in Vault of the Wardens. My armor is gone. I have waited for other players but no one appears. My hearthstone only takes me back to the same dungeon. There don’t seem to be any repair NPC’s. Is there any way to go forward with this? If not, I will need to delete my dh.
I have two other dh’s on other realms and didn’t have this problem before.
Are you not able to leave the dungeon (via right-clicking the “eye” or your character portrait) and try again?
No, there is no option to leave. Maybe it’s not a dungeon in the starting zone, but it looks like it. I am leveling a new dh and she did all the quests on Mardum. The last quest is “between us and freedom” in Vault of the Wardens.
It should be an individual scenario if I recall correctly. It’s been awhile since I did the starting area for the Demon Hunter. From what I can see in the comments on wowhead, the encounter was reportedly a lot more difficult after patch 8.0.1. I know they pushed a hotfix that was meant to address some of that. There seem to still be some challenges:
I don’t know if there is any way out of the scenario since it is part of your storyline but your gear should be repaired now. Hopefully that helps. 
I’d recommend putting in another bug report for certain, so our QA team can take a look.

Yes, my gear is repaired. Thanks! I’ll wait to take on Bastillax til I do some more research, and put in a bug report if I have more trouble.
Update: I found an Illidari Provisioner who can repair on the bottom level. Take the elevator down and then go west. After going over the spells, I was able to take down Bastillax, though it was very close. Thanks everyone for the responses.
