Struggle with classes

I’ll make this short and simple to keep it light. I have not played WoW in a while but Wotlk brought me back and I do not know what to main. I don’t want to try out everything as leveling takes a little while.
Here is my checklist if you would be so kind to recommend something according to it:

-I want to be able to do both Pve and Pvp content. (Slightly more Arena than the rest)
-I like fast and mobile classes. I don’t mind button mashing lol.
-I enjoy playing DPS and I like doing big numbers. (I’m a simple man)
-I don’t like managing a million things at the same time such as stances and switching weapons.
-I have mostly played melee (Warrior/DK/Rogue) but I do not mind the idea of trying something ranged.
-The ability to outplay opponents or a high skill cap would be good.

Thank you in advance for the response and I apologize for the millionth thread about classes. I just figured only I could describe what I want.

Sounds like hunter is something youd wanna try.

The skillcap has always been one of the highest, its representation currently is abysmal confusing me. Explosive shot carries so hard by itself.

I know beast mastery and marksmen is looked down upon nowadays but ive seen all 3 specs pull good numbers.

Fast/mobile classes typically have a lot of stuff to manage, particularly in PvP. You gotta choose one or the other.

Sounds to me like you wanna play a Feral Druid tho. Or a rogue maybe.

I think Hunter or Mage might be something you want to try. If you want something highskill, then Feral Druid.

As others have said, hunter, mage, feral all sound like good choices. Maybe not feral if you don’t like stances but the mobility and damage is definitely there. Mage is probably the simplest to pick up but it still has a very high skill cap. And hunters have a ton of abilties and are probably the most tryhard class you can play in arena but they’re really good. Disengage in particular is such a fun ability.

You basically defined mage. They’re extremely slippery and mobile in PvP and arenas as frost, they’re also a good class in arenas. Then a spec like arcane is great DPS with pretty straight forward, easy rotation for when you want to raid.

IMHO definitely not hunter. Hunter is very deceptive for skill floor. Everyone can play hunter to about 70% potential no problem. That last 30% of potential is really difficult to master and squeeze out.

I was thinking this too.

Not warlock.

I’d say mage. Ranged, simple rotation in pve that may have button mashing, incredibly quick and agile in pve with a lot of utility/defensives/cooldowns, always a great dps class no matter the expansion.

You literally just described rogue

Uh you do realize in tbc/wrath there is a literal 1 button macro you press to do your optimal dps?
