Re-posting this because I never got any solid info on my original post and I’m still very curious about it.
I was invited to the stress test and was able to login and level a character to 5 on the initial launch of the servers. However, before I was able to see the Stress Test option on my Blizzard Launcher I had proactively submitted a ticket to have my 2nd PTR account removed from my launcher because I had read that it could cause an issue, preventing the Stress Test/Beta option from appearing. After the 2nd PTR account was removed lo and behold, the stress test option was now visible.
However, the next day, several hours before the stated 6pm PDT time that the servers would go down, the Beta/StressTest option had disappeared from my launcher and I was no longer able to log in or even make it to the server selection screen. From what I have seen and read there may be others who experienced this issue and I know for a fact that others were still able to access the Stress Test server after the option had disappeared for me. Was this intentional? I read another forum post ( Beta access just stripped, old ticket about having 2 PTRs ) in which a Blue Post suggested that we open a ticket about this issue, however I did that exact thing and was told that “As far as the stress test invite goes, customer support does not have the ability to add that back on. You will need to be re-invited by the developers to be able to participate in future beta/stress test activities.” The GM then suggested that I make a post on the forums about this issue. So that is what I am now doing.
Obviously I’m not too bent out of shape about all this because it’s just a stress test but it seems like it could be a bug or something preventing people from accessing the Stress Test when they should actually be able to, which could impact the numbers Blizzard sees when the Stress Test actually occurs so I figured it would be worth posting about.
Fishing for blue response,
Cheers
EDIT: My access was restored! See my post below.

Bump to get you help because that sucks that their Ticket GMs have no way to contact beta launchers or even put through a querry to Ian or other top devs to check before he leaves at the end of the day of a batch of 20 (It would take a bit of time to get a response with how many of us there are but i would leave it to specifics like this where its a known issue but the ticket GM cant do anything about it)
EDIT: Pls dont hate me ian for suggesting extra work for you LOL! i mean you could use it as a way to get an extra break during the day by saying “I stay an extra hour to deal with tickets so i get an extra paid 15 min coffee break!”

Bumping this as well. If the GMs really have no way to communicate this issue to the developer then this is probably the best way to get it to them.

there is another one on the 29th right?they most likely removed the old one.
This took place before the first stress test was over, and I’m told those who participated in the first test still have the option on their launcher, whereas I do not.
i dont either its down for me they removed it for the now one wed.
Bump.
Put in a ticket? Mine is still there.
I did. They told me to try making a forum post…
Did you try CS forums? That is kind of odd…
They specifically said to post on the Classic Forum.
There is another one on the 29th, but mine is still showing up on the launcher.
Sounds like some sort of bug or mistake for the OP. I hope you get it fixed Meku.

Also, I would highly recommend if you get the time tomorrow to request a callback. I have always had the best customer service with Blizzard over the phone. I have always much preferred that as opposed to putting in tickets, which can sometimes take a long time and it seems things don’t always get resolved well.
I doubt they would be in today it being a holiday and all. But definitely request a callback tomorrow if you are able.

We don’t get many blue responses around here. We know they are here though. Lol. Good luck. I’ll help bumping and sacrifice some KFC for the cause.

Might want to try bumping this tomorrow. Most of the blues may have the day off.
