It’s not the streamers fault that the game isnt enjoyable and that the lore sucks. Its not the streamers fault that classes are so incredibly dull they go to other games where they are actually interactive. Its not the streamers fault that the gameplay aspect of wow is so boring and that the tuning stuff is just incredibly stupid to the point where we literally have people getting globaled left and right in pvp. Its not the streamers fault that we literally have a difference of 45% between two classes or specs. its not the streamers fault that Talents are an unbalanced mess that blizzard should just literally remove and the game would be better for it.

reminds me of Muselk

used to watch his tf2 vids. was kind of sad when he moved to overwatch but i still watched him (also got ow so it was still relevant). when he moved to pug and the fortnight he lost my interest (and also all the overhyping he started to do)

so sure, steamers will go to whatever is hot and gain alot of new viewers (mostly young kids) but in doing so will lose there veteran viewers

They are one of the worst. People dislike them here in Europe because of some stunts Taliesin has pulled on the forums for being a privileged narcissist. His careless postings and rantings also revealed that all Blizzard-associated content creators get free and permanent access to the internal feedback forums and member level 3.

So it is basically the same thing as the opposite.
“I agree with these streamers, therefor they are the good ones.”

I do not know Hirumaredex, Hazelnutty is sweet and fair though - I disagree with her continued love for World of Warcraft because the game is in a objectively bad state, have been for long, but eh, what can you do.

Taliesin is horrible and absolutely disingenuous, Evitel I do not know much of, I have ever only seen her speak of the games she plays, she does not seem as outspoken and prone to ranting as Taliesin, so all of this criticism is not with her in mind. But Taliesin is a big ideologue, while I do agree with a lot of what he is saying, he is so extremely condescending and there are just some extremely bad take. And one of the most recent statements he made annoys me, especially about his little drama with Asmongold - where Taliesin mentions that Asmongold only got mad because Taliesin called him a millionaire, which is not at all true, quite the opposite, Asmongold thanked him for putting him on such pedestal. Asmongold’s problem was being accused of “punching down” so to speak, when he criticized the WoW developers for the poor state of World of Warcraft, and Asmongold was mad about Taliesin holding him accountable for the actions of those who watch him, despite Asmongold already saying loud and clear that he does not condone trash-talking other content creators, and will actively ban from his own stream should he see it happen. Asmongold rarely punches up or down, he does, however, punch back.

As mentioned, a lot of what Taliesin says I can agree with, a lot of it I can not agree with because it is just bad takes. I do not like his hypocritical, disingenuous and condescending way of talking to others. He is terribly arrogant. Sadly he is the most prominent of the couple, and he thus largely defines what Taliesin and Evitel is. But as mentioned, a lot of this criticism is not on Evitel. Personally I can seperate the two… few others might no tbe able to.

That said, I currently have 9 hours left of my sub, harh, my temporary account suspension was too short Blizzard!

Agree whole-heartedly.

Taleisin argues in such a ridiculously counterproductive, combative, condescending way that it wouldn’t matter what his personal takes are on the matter. He is the kind of person you wish you didn’t agree with because the way he argues his point makes you cringe all the same.

Absolutely.
In most cases when I discuss IRL stuff, I make it a point not to make an enemy of those who disagree with me. People are usually far less likely to take you seriously, and actually listen to you, if your idea of discussing these things is to batter the opposition, and liken them to evil people.

There is a reason that certain well meaning organisations have decreasing support out in public, and that is because they have members who have a tendency to villify others as a general group, in this instance, white males in particular. Poor Johnny over there just flipping burgers on an terribly low salary being called an oppressor because of the lack of colour in his skin and his sex.

They want to hurt the Bobby Koticks of the world, which I am all for. But in the process they also hurt the Johnnys of the world, which are then used as meatshields to protect the Bobby Koticks.

And the Johnnys are far more common than the Bobby Koticks.

Where did I say I agreed with them? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. Same can be said for many other streamers. I just watch them and find them entertaining. As I said, it’s very subjective.

I like Hazel - she seems genuine. But T & E are unwatchable to me - when they try to be funny it just makes me wince.
