alright im going to try to keep this civil in presentation. Blizzard, stop the bots. aight screw civil, you all have been getting COUNTLESS reports about bots to the point that me and everyone in ironforge when we see the bots bring attention to everyone of them and they get reported. Its been so long that we have casual joking convos (one sided mind you) with the bots as they journey to repair, reagent, and list orbs on ah before going back to strat live runs. You either have some thick skulled employees who cant read, or some really awful bots that cant even track tickets per person. i have two accounts and am putting them on the line by talking down to you like your whole business is a mindless child, and im okay with that. You either need to publicly announce you are okay with botting and release terms of what the bots can and cannot do, or ban them. I would like to have some days where i cant be asked to go do a dungeon/raid/pvp and just chill and mob grind in deadwind pass for some greens to disenchant, but no, i cant, because there are 3 mages that are mindless bots just chewin away at the mobs the whole time.
Since we are on the topic of bliz not caring about bots, lets take a look at something people forgot with what bliz recently did. Remember that little hotfix where they changed black lotus spawn rates/amount of spawn locations per area? you know what they even said in a off way with that? THEY DIDNT TOUCH THE BOTS THEY WERE PATCHING IT FOR. wanna know why? i sure do, as from where i sit, blizzard did this to both make the public think they care and also to increase amount of bots willingly paying them subs every month. lets think this through here “hey people are complaining that bots are taking up most of the black lotus’s and selling them for RL currency” and bliz responds with “make more nodes and make spawns faster”… they legit are laughing as they are collecting even more subs as botters are lvling up more bots.
blizzard your model is trash, im getting sick of playing a game where i have to decide if i want to compete with bots or not, stop doing this ban wave crap, it doesnt work, 15 years of yall trying to say “we ban in waves” guess what, it dont work, the big selling point of classic was “anti cheat” lulllllllllll, atleast on private servers bots didnt last long because gms responded to tickets of it, you guys dont, because mo money to not have someone check, and to let it slide. i hope more people choose to do the same as me and voice their strong opinion on blizzard as a company, because you guys need to start understanding that without customers, the bots go away to, so pick one to please and announce it. ps, hire some people who actually care and fire your current staff as they dont.
had to edit it alot becaus bliz doesnt approve of strong language, so instead ill just post in the reply some strong language in regards to bliz that the bots dont care about: free hong kong, red shirt guy not approved, fires employees at the end of their most profitable year and claims to be one of the “top 100 business to work for” on their job site. the list goes on, cmon mods, show that you’ll read and delete comments but not post actual answers to the botting problems people have been posting about for 15 years without any actual answers.
They’ve given tons of responses to the botting situation. It’s not like you’d believe anything they said anyways, so why even bother asking them to respond?
Apart from the wall of text OP wrote, this is just so wrong lmao. Where are said responses (and actions ?) They so this on literally every server for month
What… have they said regarding the botting situation in Classic? 'Cause it’s a deafening silence from what I’ve seen. I see nothing in the stickies, nor do I see any news articles or any correspondence at all about it.
It’s not wrong, it’s a fact. Like I said, none of you would care because it’s not going to be what you want to hear. Blizzard has responded to the botting situation and accusations that they’re not doing anything plenty of times.
“Blizzard has responded to the botting situation and accusations that they’re not doing anything plenty of times.”
Where? And why has there been no impact whatsoever by Blizzard’s actions in Classic? The only impact Blizzard has had is their resounding silence and lack of action promoting more botting from people who would normally worry about being banned… because no one is getting banned.
How can bots that have done nothing but farm nearly 24/7 in the same instance go unbanned for months?
That’s a completely hollow post paying lip service. Players know just how ineffective Blizzard’s anti-botting stance is, and the bots that farm for months finally getting banned means nothing when they just make more accounts using a tiny fraction of their botted money.
Not sure how this is anything but laughable to anyone.
If Blizzard was actively banning bots we wouldn’t see the same generic 3 mage 1priest 1 druid teams running Strat 24/7. Keep eating up what a a forum moderater completely unrelated to the development team posted once tho.
Imagine being so ignorant of the world around you that you pretend bots aren’t taking over more and more of the server every day. The perfect corporate drone. Pathetic.
If all they do is say, “we can’t tell you any details, but we’re doing stuff and it’ll work we promise” and nothing ever really changes… their method isn’t working. Or it’s just lip service.
the fact that people point at things blizzard have said about botting and didnt read where i mocked their idea of ban waves and how if it hasnt worked for 15 years its not going to magically stick one day shows there are still people that sympathies with blizzard and im dumbfounded by that. what blizzard needs is to actually care about the players, not the people making money off their games by using bots.
I want you to answer me truthfully. Why do you think the forums exploded in the last week with all the bot threads? Why now? Why is everyone complaining about the bots ruining the game now?
It’s an echo chamber effect, the situation is being overstated. Heartseeker has the 2nd or 3rd highest Alliance population and there’s currently 30 people in Strat. I’ve added those names to my friends list like I’ve done before and I’ll watch their names go offline permanently just like they have times before.
maybe they should actually show off their “top 100 workplaces” status and actually hire some gms, instead of just in-taking money without doing anything to earn it
About twelve days ago, China announced 200,000 bots banned in a week period. Last week they announced 100,000 bots banned. Have you seen these threads and the list of names they post up on the Chinese WoW website?
