I have a weird problem. There’s this strange red swirl effect that happens to my character quite frequently. It’s appearance suggests that I’m being affected by some kind of Venthyr magic but nothing of consequence happens. It happens most often when I stealth or unstealth, or when I change zones or sub-zones. Although it doesn’t seem to do anything it’s still quite annoying. Could I get someone to check out my character to see if there’s some remnant of a buff or debuff that didn’t quite go away when it was supposed to? That’s what I suspect it is.
The best way to see if it’s a buff/debuff is to remove all gear from your toon, fly up high and drop to the ground to get them killed. Should force any and all debuff/buff off.

Why does it do that when I’m not in a party with other users of the trinket? Are you sure it’s not a bug?
I didn’t create the item so I couldn’t give you the full functionality of it and tell you the conditions in which it may or may not cause the graphical effect. I don’t know if the effect is tied to having others with the trinket in your group or it just triggers as various other times. You felt your character was bugged, so I found out what was causing it.
There are a lot of items in-game that have graphics that trigger without any real impact on the character. This is likely one of those and not necessarily tied directly to providing a buff/debuff when you see it.
If the trinket isn’t adding 5% for others in your group who also have it, that should be reported as a bug. If you otherwise believe something is wrong with the graphic you should report it so QA can take a look.
