All this Star Wars talk has put me in the mood to bingewatch it. The opening sentence, “The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute”, is hilarious to me.
Got a new bass. Hollow body Epiphone. It’s really nice. Playing music helps with brainworms.
On an actual Story Forum note, I find the the “Queen” Calia uproar pretty hilarious. Distinctions of hereditary nobility, while disgusting at their core, are also notorious for being fluid and only serving those that are wealthy and in power at whatever given time they have it or are in it.
Warhammer 40K news on the finale of the Horus Heresy AKA The End and the Death Vol. 3:
Spoilers
The claim of Nurgle, Khorne and Tzeentch being the oldest Chaos Gods is revealed to be only from their perspective(since Time doesn’t flow linearly in the Warp) as they are born from the Siege of Terra and embody the Decay of the Imperium, the War of the Imperium and the Change of the Imperium and thus are younger than Slaanesh the oldest of the 4 Chaos Gods.
Such irony that a bunch of children treat the old man like a child and themselves as grown up!
Also Horus was able to just give up the Chaos power though he did(upon gaining lucidity from the lack of Chaos influence) ask the Emperor to end his life before the 4 could force the power on him.
If you accept the power of Chaos you can throw it away and regain lucidity but if it’s forced on you then you become a slave.
Horus accepted the power of Chaos as did Mortarion(under duress but it was still a choice), Magnus and Perturabo so they can escape from Chaos if they sacrifice any Daemons created by them to replace the Warp Stuff of their masters.
Angron had the power forced on him so he is a slave.
Completed Redside Gilneas on Ben, now running it on my Gilnean Undead Rogue for more RP fun and to take notes.
Also damn do I need that Vile Fumigator’s mask. The Forsaken heritage armor mixed with the BFA PvP season 2 gear is Chef’s kiss.
Perfectly fits the “We were never here” black opps vibe I want her combat gear to have;
So I deleted my Gilneas statement because my internet decided to go berserk and double posted two versions of my text.
And anyway my main RPer takeaway was the Forsaken experience was basically this as the Worgen strikeforce took out the command structure;
I love you, Ben, but I will never understand the fixation with modern 40k. The original Rogue Trader book was great, but the satire just left the airport as soon as second edition launched.
e: I mean, the core book gave you rules to make a stick of deodorant and a plastic spoon an actual transport.
ee: I kant tipe gud
Oh dear god, that soundtrack. Eesh.
Oh hey, Warhammer posting.
Sometimes I miss when warcraft was really unashamed about just being a warhammer spoof lmao. I miss when night elves had this energy- made me smile seeing this old art from the bretonnia almanack for The Old World.
Where are the Squats on hoverboards? That’s what I want to know.
Tisk tisk tisk…
Spoilers for Siege of Terra Finale The End and the Death Vol. 3
The natives of the Old World are fighting the dregs of the Siege of Terra(the mutants born from Khorne who along with Tzeentch and Nurgle were born from the Siege of Terra even if time in the Warp moves in a confusing fashion)…
A shame we don’t see them fighting the dregs of the Aeldari Empire’s fall with their distinctive crab claws in that picture… Slaanesh is the oldest of the 4 Gods of the 40K Universe even if by the triplets’ perspective(thanks to the Warp’s bizarre flow of time) he is the youngest and they are the oldest.
Uh, hwat? Shine on, my friend.
And I mean that whole heartedly.
I love each and every one of you, but I just do not understand Warhammer. I am an old D&D gal, whose experience with Warhammer amounts to “hey, these minis looks cool” and “I just saw people fistfight while playing with cool-looking minis while I was shopping at the comic shop, so suddenly I don’t think I am too much of a nerd!!”
Basically I am the cool and hot cheerleader pointing at all of the Warhammer fans and laughing, shouting “NERD!!!” like I am in some 80s movie.
Nightsong knows the deep level of irony in this…
Alynsa goes off to paint and play with custom Star Wars toys
Warhammer is basically Murder everything that doesn’t look like you. It’s a over the top war simulator where the creators purposefully made the Imperium the worst of humanity and even said they’re the bad guys and they don’t know why people love them because they weren’t designed to be loved.
DnD’s Great Wheel has a
- Celestia Plane of Lawful Goodness(with 7 infinitely vast Layers: one Nighttime Middle East, one Japan/India Hybrid, one Shire, one China/Dwarven Storm Peaks Hybrid, one European Kingdom of Paladins, one Ziggurat of Angels and one beam of Light that consumes those in it except it’s personal Angel)
- Arcadia Plane of Lawful Goodness veering on Lawful Neutral(a garden focusing on being perfect on the verge of throwing off the Egyptian Layer for being too Neutral)
- Bytopia Plane of Lawful Goodness veering on Neutral Good(ironically more demanding of people than Celestia and Arcadia)
- Elysium Plane of Neutral Good(4 Infinitely Vast Layers with a river winding through each of them with them getting wetter and wetter until the last Layer is a Sea)
- Arborea Plane of Chaotic Good(5 Infinitely Vast Layers consisting of Mount Olympus, the Elven Realm of Arvandor, the Watery Realm of Aquallor and the Desert Realm of Mithardir)
- Beastlands Plane of Chaotic Good veering on Neutral Good(3 Infinitely Vast Layers filled with talking Animals each embodying a Time of Day: Daytime, Sunset/Sunrise and Night)

- Limbo Plane of Chaotic Neutral(an Infinitely Vast Chaotic Mass with floating Spheres with Infinitely Vast Realms one of which is an Ocean of Milk rested on by Vishnu in the form of an Infinitely Vast Island Turtle ruled by Indra)
- Pandemonium Plane of Chaotic Evil veering on Chaotic Neutral(4 Infinitely Vast Caves with the Wind getting worse each Layer)
- The Abyss Plane of Chaotic Evil(an Abyss with at least 666 Infinitely Vast Layers one of which is called the Gates of Heaven, another is a Succubus False Paradise, another is an Incubus True Paradise, another is a Vampire Realm, another is a Toxic Emerald Jungle, another is an Icy Sea, another is a mass of Eyes, etc.)
- Tartarus Plane of Chaotic Evil veering on Neutral Evil(6 Infinitely Long Strings of Planets: 1 a string of Swamp Planets overcast by Crimson Thunderstorms, 1 a string of Red Jungle Planets, 1 a string of Blood Dust Desert Planets, 1 a string of Spiky Red Mountain Planets, 1 a string of Blizzard Planets half Blood Blizzard half Black Acid Blizzard and finally the string of Dark Ice Planets)
- Hades Plane of Neutral Evil(3 Underworlds)
- The Nine Hells Plane of Lawful Evil(1st Hell is Fiery Wasteland filled with Blood, 2nd a City, 3rd a Swamp, 4th a Volcano, 5th Half Icy Sea/Half Black Desert, 6th a Mountain, 7th Ruined Cities, 8th an Icy Glacier and 9th a Plain in middle of Fiery Tornado
- Gehenna Plane of Lawful Evil veering on Neutral Evil(4 Infinitely Vast Mountains: 1st Waterfall, 2nd Volcano, 3rd Snowy Volcano and 4th Icy Cold Dead Mountain)
- Acheron Plane of Lawful Evil veering on Lawful Neutral(War Ground filled with 4 Layers of Dice one of which is so huge it’s shards the Layer’s defining feature)
- Mechanicus Plane of Lawful Neutral(Robotic Realm)
- The Outlands Plane of True Neutral(with a Spire containing Sigil at it’s moral center)
My main interest is Mount Celestia(7 Heavens none of which are like Bastion strangely), the Beastlands, Arborea, the Abyss, Tartarus and the Nine Hells simply because I’m fascinated by their descriptions.
Everyone knows the real grogs play Battletech.
I mean, that’s what I hear.
Do you have a AT-TE or a Venator class star destroyer? I would play with you making weird blasters sound all day!
Pew pew pew
Arrrgaouehr
Vooooooosh
If there is something I love more than warcraft that thing is Star wars (and lord of the rings) my triad WoW SW LoR.
Now enlight me how does that work?
I mean the great 3 were created by the siege of terra in the horus heresi so before that there were never a ruler to the warp? To chaos? Only after slaanesh was made by the eldar that the first god of the warp awakened? And even so how is he/she still the youngest?
I know the warp is created to be confusing but this is a new layer to it. Can you go little more indepth?
Waaaay back when I was a wee little mocha elf, my boyfriend at the time bought me some battletech book. All I know about Battletech is that everything looks so cool!! But… It was not a game for me.
No, but I do happen to have a 3d printed Razor Crest!!! I bought a used 3d printer because I love to make things for costumes and little trinbkets for around the house, and I stumbled upon the files for that. It took a long time to finish, but it came out so very good!! I put an LED strip inside the main body and smaller LEDs for various parts, all with the help of my guy friend who can do soldering. It now sits above my desk, plugged in via usb (same guyfriend made it so I can plug in a battery or usb), in a little (not so little) diorama with all my 3d printed Mandalorian figures!!
Khorne I believe came to be when mankind was still young and a backwater people on terra, making khorne the oldest chaos god I believe.
According to the old lore anyway. Slaanesh came to be after the other chaos gods were already active, that’s why he’s considered the youngest of the 4
