New Bad Batch Trailer is out.

Seems Ventress either came back from the dead thanks to Nightsister Rituals in Dathomir or she was merely unconscious from Tyrannus’s Force Lightning.

In any case we have Ventress back in the Star Wars Universe.

We have Thrawn, the Great Mothers and Ventress and a hint at something powerful on Peridia… When are we going to get Grand Admiral Sloane(searching for a source of the Dark Side whispering to Sidious from the Unknown Regions), Sith Empress Acina and Sith Emperors Valkorion and Vowrawn?

Probably another thing, we have the acolyte coming out this year so I wouldn’t think of peridia for now, they will probably expand on it in the coming years.
Since ahsoka season 2 will only feature after the thrawn movie(s) we have a good time before seeing peridia again.

Plus I don’t think the Star Wars mmo is canon anyway. Revan vaguely is, the canon hinted him being so a few times but nothing concrete from what I remember

The sith emperor is so over the top and all regarding this period of time that I think that they will make SOME things canon but everything regarding him and his powers will be downgraded or totally different.

Palpatine is to be the pinnacle of the sith, the true emperor so I don’t a sith be it from the new lineage or the old old republic line will be more powerful than palps and vader.

Yeah, current canon states palpatine was the most powerful sith to ever exist. I don’t see them overriding that.

I am excited for all the upcoming Star Wars content though

Huh it is giving me Rep but only for killed bosses bizarrely, in BFA dungeons at least.

Just looked it up and Botanica is listed at 3.5K rep for a full clear… also that was the highest I could find… which just proves that Alynsa was correct. :smiley_cat:

I might mess around with transmog, I might mess around with talents, I certainly mess around with rotations and gunk…

I do NOT mess around when it comes to city reputation grinds.

That is when I am at my most serious.

I hate city grinds, so I always look up the fastest/most efficient way to get them. And often BC dungeons like Botanica are the go to dungeons to farm

City reps are easier than this new kind of reputation that came with shadowlands…
I do hate griding the dragonflight reputations it is boring.

I don’t know why reputation is so terrible boring to do…

Yeah bizarrely it was only doing that for BFA dungeons. Gave a BC run a go and it worked fine.

Wonder how much the wombo combo of the Worgen heritage quest and Gilneas Reclamation will kill my interest in my Druid.

Granted I’m rping him as a Dalaranian Bard turned Druid because of the whole worgen curse thing. So what Gilneas wants to do isn’t his biggest concern.

Kinda looking forward to DF on a character who might give a ish though. My undead characters were there as a RAS Expedition partner and Deathstalker snooping around respectively. Which as you imagine didn’t exactly make me feel too attached to the narrative.

I still want Gnolls as the Forsaken AR. Can even just make them a skin for the vulpera if they want. Decay nature magic wielders carrion eaters seem a pretty natural fit for the Forsaken’s friends if leper gnomes and Vargul are off the table at least.

Just read a YouTube comment about how bringing people back from death(like Ventress and Rey were resurrected) in Star Wars is easier than preventing it.

Well Sidious did say the power to cheat death is a power that only one has achieved. He was unaware of Momin until he got his Helmet.

On top of that he tried to open a time gate… I would assume Plagueis was the one who provided Sidious that time gate.

Anakin upon becoming a Force Ghost was able to move Ahsoka to the World Between Worlds while having it be on the border to reality enough for people to hear their duel before returning her to the Galaxy without throwing her through a Time Gate.

Plagueis was just as powerful it would seem. Strong enough to be able to go to any point in time as well as any location without a Time Gate and save those he cared about from dying and grabbed all the Sith’s Souls right before he died and failed an attempt to possess Sidious(after Sidious killed him in his sleep) getting consumed by him.

Sidious clearly wasn’t smart enough to learn from the Souls and just received their raw power though it seems he did preform Plagueis’s Force Possession technique and found his new Body starting to rot and mused that Plagueis may have been having the final laugh on him.

The Chosen One destroyed the Sith in terms of body and then brought Ultimate Balance to the Force sending Ahsoka to Peridia where a Dark Side Power lies hidden.

Of course since Sidious mused that his rotting state may have been from Plagueis having the final laugh on him(understandable as absorbing Rey and Ben’s Dyad healed him rather than accelerate his demise) and admired Plagueis for being a prophet it may be that Plagueis rotted Sidious then waited for the dyad to show up to devour it’s power then allowed Sidious to die at Rey’s hands before heading off somewhere like the Sith Emperor!

Of course that’s assuming the one rotting Sidious from within isn’t the Sith Emperor himself…

Would love to have Vitiate appear gloating about having allowed himself and the other Sith to be consumed by a Time Traveling Plagueis so that he could claim the Sith’s combined power only to learn of the Dyad from reading Plagueis’s mind and thus orchestrated Plagueis and Sidious’s demises in order to become the Final Boss for Anakin(who attained Inner Balance) to defeat to bring Ultimate Balance to the Force.

The Chosen One Prophecy according to the Qui-Gon Novel is thus:

Only through sacrifice of many Jedi will the Order cleanse the sin done to the nameless.
The danger of the past is not past, but sleeps in an egg. When the egg cracks, it will threaten the galaxy entire.
When the Force itself sickens, past and future must split and combine.
A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored.

The first of the lines I highlighted may reference the Sith but the second one seems to reference Time Travel… Past and Future splitting and combining… I hope that means we will see Valkorion or Plagueis(empowered by Sidious’s demise after eating him from within) and Sloane become a threat.

I’ve been choosing to look at the whole Gilneas reclamation flop-fest hullaballoo in a glass half full perspective in that there are other Worgen sources to pull from.

Duskwood Worgen
Bloodfang Pack and/or other feral Silverpine Worgen
Val’sharah Worgen
Northrend (Grizzly Hills) Worgen
Gilneas Worgen (Ones who stayed at Tal’doren)

The nice thing about the Worgen curse is that it’s similar to the Forsaken in that it can affect literally any flavor of human (or NE if you never shift back) as long as you can place them in any of the above scenarios to have gotten infected.

I kinda choose to look at the reclamation as human lore, 'cause that’s really what it was. Worgen is one of my favourite Alliance races so discrediting it as Worgen lore makes me feel less crummy about it.

My Worgen is still Gilnean but I’m sticking to her being a protector of the Wild Home and generally avoiding the main city being that she’s a reclusive Harvest Witch. Her main goal is protecting the native flora and fauna unique to Gilneas and helping to soothe any feral Worgen she comes across, so she’s kind of detached from Gilneas city proper. The only real impact it will have on her story is that she’ll encounter fewer hostile Scarlet/Undead/whatever and will see more Gilneans return to re-populate their steads. Perhaps she can help them with their gardening…

This is fortuitous for me because in reference to the Gilnean reclamation… respectfully Blizzard… What the H-E-double hockey sticks was that?

That’s what I basically been doing lately and it’s been a ton of fun actually

I have to finish the Horde version of it still and I’ll do a post about it.

But thus far very weird. Tess goes behind Genn’s back to illicit Forsaken aid. Which kinda makes sense seeing as she did work with 3/5 of the Desolate Council and knows Voss is nice at least.

But it feels very unofficial and clandestine thus far. Which feels odd. Especially because if we’re supposed to be off the books Voss is definitely a solid choice. But Calia is violently conspicuous.

Feels very tacked on and unnecessary so far. But a Worgen Warrior phased in as I was playing and slaughtering Scarlets together was admitably kinda fun.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it again! It was definitely a let-down, I won’t lie. But, I’ve mentioned it before and my Worgen is my 100% hands-down favorite character. It would take a LOT for me to not want to have her be one anymore. If I could be a Worgen Shaman, I 100% would!

This, was a weird choice TBH. I feel like they should’ve done it similar to the reclamation of Lordaeron and have Horde players be in disguise. As much as I’m down with “Spooky Boys Unite 2024”, it felt a bit hamfisted and the Forsaken are literally the LAST group that should be there to help, or at least they could’ve built it up a bit better to make it feel a bit more organic. Voss as an emissary makes sense, since she has worked with Tess in the past, but I think she should’ve been the only Forsaken present as an “olive branch” at most. Especially since she is our expert resident Scarlet slaughterer.

That was also my complaint with the Scarlets being the baddies as well, there was no preface or build-up. They were just there cleansing… corpses for … some reason? Corpses which wouldn’t even be afflicted by the Worgen curse no less.

Calia would’ve been fine if she hadn’t had that one ‘YOU HAVE MY WORD AS A MENETHIL’ line. Sure, babe. Just throw around one of the most hated surnames in the entire franchise, that will work.

Voss is probably the world’s leading authority on Scarlet slaying, so her being there tracks. But odd there isn’t more context on the Worgen end.

Because Fenris Isle as of Exploring Azeroth was held by the Bloodfang. So I figured Ivar tried to court the Scarlets to screw over the Forsaken but turns out twitchy Lux Vult types are also pretty disapproving of werewolves.

In Blizz’s great tradition of p̶l̶a̶g̶i̶a̶r̶i̶s̶m̶ taking inspiration from other properties in the genre, I sincerely hope they take a page from BG3’s Raphael.

Sire Denathrius too seems extra enough to sing his own boss fight theme whenever he turns up again;
