I like to start BGs by saying:
“Like Baby Jesus said - nodes not roads.”
It usually gets a few laughs and silly retorts.
One guy said I converted him to Christianity. (He was kidding of course)

Was looking up the infamous Paper Mario Color Splash(I even watched a Walkthrough) and was quite surprised when TV Tropes revealed that it’s story was a retread of A Thousand Year Door:
The starting hub is similar to Thousand Year Door’s Rogueport, Mario gets one Star from a Tropical Island once visited by an old Captain in both Games and gets another Star after a lengthy trip on a Train which features a Boss on the Train’s Roof with the Star getting obtained at the destination Mario arrives in after the Boss in both Games.
Paper Jam Bros claiming the Paper Mario Universe is a Book in the Mario Universe would suggest these similarities are no coincidence! Possibly a Writer slapping 2 different coats of Paint for the same story drawing from different prophecies he saw.
Yes I suspect that the Writer of the Paper Mario Universe has the Dark Prognosticus and yet can’t make heads or tails of it putting major prophecies together in singular Universes to ensure the Prophecies are fulfilled on the Writer’s terms!
Too bad the Black Paint Bowser Prophecy was fulfilled in a way that precludes it from the Star Prophecy! Once the Writer learns of this he or she will be scrambling to write a World where the Stars Prophecy can be fulfilled!
…Although I suspect the Pirate’s Lair Star Prophecy has already been fulfilled(Johnathan Jones) along with the Prophecy of the Star in a Volcano and the Prophecy of the Star with a Dragon(both represent Barrel Volcano) which means the “Star whose destination must be reached via train which requires a battle on the train’s roof before reaching said destination” Prophecy has yet to be revealed!
Mario is destined to board a Train and after a fight on the Train’s Roof will reach the Train’s destination and find a powerful Star there.
Sure, seems to be a lot of “virtue signaling” posts and threads lately.
Lovely time of year it is.
That is all.
May your days be many and filled with the happiness you need.

Decided to RP my void elf as a San’layn/Darkfallen character who’s adorably unhinged and just out there. It’s actually been a lot of fun and people seem to be receptive about it. Which is a nice change.
Unhinged being things like ”l swear I’ll I will break your jaw Faelan if you keep it up and my character is like Is that a promise?. It’s hilarious because it catches so many off guard
Benedikt’s reliably fun to RP. He’s a friendly but still unapologetically undead character. So while he’s served in the Argent Dawn and saved the living he’s also not above biting someone’s throat out.
My DK, the Baroness Kathryn Elizabeth Rivendare Silverlaine Barov Von Faustadt, is similarly sadomasochistic and a capitol V villain character. Second gen Cult of the Damned DK who’s essentially an undead supremacist. Not great for social RPs as her first language is antagonism but always good when the story needs someone powerful but untrustworthy to parlay with.
I also have a Dracthyr I just got to 60 and keeping him at 60 so I can putz around the Dragon Isles with him. I was thinking of making him a black dragon supremacist.
But we’ll see. It’ll be a fun character to lvl at least during the times I don’t feel like running random BGs or RPing on my elf
I haven’t RP’d in years, I don’t even know how I’d RP a “Grill dad tauren who just wants to chill at home in the Barrens, but has to clock in every time there’s an crisis on Azeroth” in a way that is interesting and doesn’t ruin the tone for people wanting a more serious/traditional RP.
Honestly those are the most fun characters. One of my favorite characters to RP is an undead human ‘dark ranger’ who’s just a cowboy from Westfall that picked up necromancy skills.
So his chief concerns are hunting, fishing, gambling, competitive shooting and tending to his growing barnyard of undead beasties.
Don’t. Play. With. His. Beasties.
you might be surprised. two of my orc’s closest friends were a bleeding hollow fire mage who just turned to a passion for cooking later in life and a tauren merc whose two drives were machines and the tasteful and pleasant company of strong and tall women*, so the stage is pretty vast in its players
All my RP characters ae 80 now. That is 12 people. mostly the elves and orcs. Can’t complain they all look fine.
God I’ve to level / gear my Hunter, Druid and/or Rogue.
I’m doing pretty well on DK due to just the sheer visual chaos a Rider can cause but if I could stealth nab I think I’d be farther along.
Really anything is better than healer though where you’re just going to have a bad time if you’re shackled to idiots.
And it’s particularly annoying when you’re healing partner isn’t on the same page. Because I’ve explained multiple times that Disc should cover the offense in CTF maps because our movement is crap and literally one Mage, Hunter, DK - basically anyone - can keep us away from the FFC.
Only to notice us both at the EFC. So I turn and run and help the EFC. Where I’m locked out extremely easily for the aforementioned reasons.
Though it is fun when you get to Leap of Faith a FFC into a score like you’re crushing the net in basketball.
I have capped my conquest.
Next Tuesday is gonna be hella fun.
I capped valor stones and didn’t realize until after I donated my globs of wax.
Doh
I need to look at those cap points more often.
Spooky people rejoice! It is finally autumn! Soup season baybeeeeee!
Made soup and cinnamon bread yesterday to celebrate!
Happy (belated) Equinox everyone!
Side note: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is actually quite good for anyone who was curious but understandably apprehensive.
Obviously not as good as it’s predecessor but it was campy, spooky and ridiculous from start to finish!
My conquest is capped on this main but I think I’m going to have to pick just one alt. Got way too use to healer wait times.
Both my Hunter and DK are geared and I’m leaning toward DK as they’re just a bit better all around. Hunter gets tackled in Solo and while it has a lot more tactical utility in BG Blitz there’s just more hard counters to MM than Undeath.
Leveling two new hordies as I can’t bother bringing my alliance remix characters to 80. The motivation lacks. And I would need to create RP concepts for them too.
I just have one 80. Hopefully another tonight but it’s equinox so in accordance with vague anti-authortarian tendencies, a generalized respect for seasons and a crushingly vague sense of spiritual obligations, I am burning some things and making a mead. (It will be this year’s crowberries and rum barrel eventually).
I have firefighter things next week so I’m not burning the midnight oil anyway.
I haven’t rp’d in a hot minute but I do have functional stories for most of my crew. A lot of the times, I like hewing close to the archetypes-- my sentinel is a grumpy old isolationist true believer who will unleash so much moonfire on intruders – and seeing where that gets me. Gurda, my current main, is an adrenaline junkie explorer who would have also liked to punch a dinosaur.
Once I finally crested the 1000+ rating in BG Blitz I’ve found things going a lot smoother. With players actively applying strategy and even more than one “Protect the Priest!” which is always reassuring to hear.
Just started playing wow again. Did Classic Season of Discovery it was so far back in the old game and just did a death knight and really enjoyed the death knight experience so far.
