While I usually play with the music off because I have something else in the background, I do often turn it back on when I’m in a mood (which is pretty frequent) or when I’m going into a major city.
Except one major city.
Stormwind.
That music. “AH!! LO!! Yo shala bee lay” or whatever they’re pretending to say, it just grates on me too dang much.
So basically, I’m just now learning that Lion’s Rest has seperate music.
As you approach Lion’s Rest you get a really sad and kind of beautiful version of the Stormwind theme.
And then a little bit later you get this like… faux-Welsh? faux-Celtic? Maybe not even faux, I can’t tell? woman just musically wailing her heart out to bagpipes. The Sylvanas music box from BC is subdued in comparison, and she’s doing it with all the projection and lung capacity of someone who is being backed up by bagpipes and BY THE LIGHT SHE AIN’T GOING TO LET NO BAG FULL OF PIPES OUTWAIL HER OVER KING CHIN, NO SIRREE
The specific “just way too much as BGM, even for Stormwind” section is called “Canticle of Sacrifice A”, if you want to look it up.
I think you know I had to.

It’s not like… Bad. It’s just missing the entire point of ambiance music. I could see this working in some mid-tier movie, but as something in the background as I’m playing a game, or worse… As the primary source of sound as I’m sitting around RPing, this is just… Too much.
It’s just too much for what it’s supposed to be, I think.
Although my brain is trying to put English words to what she’s saying, and I think it absolutely must start with:
“Biiiiig loove. Eeeat it!! Oooh, wind me oooover… Aaand then. Iiiii need. Shoooower, Aaron.”
So I am pretty sure this song is about someone hungry for big love who got knocked over in a hurricane, probably into something very dirty, and she needs Aaron to help her get in the shower.
What the hell, I thought that was a mutated Venthyr on first glance. I know I made a post earlier about people criticizing me for my character’s looks, but why did they pick an Orc woman to represent that mog?
That’s also an oddly specific outfit. Not just a pirate, it’s an airship captain, but not a real one just a pretend one. Couldn’t just be a stylish pirate, it’s a fake sky buccaneer. Did someone’s kid come up with this? It’s not a bad transmog, I’m just baffled.
I’m never emotionally ready for Ysera when she’s shows up. She’s the best dragon out of them all. And yeah, I too bawled like a baby twice with her death and than return 
Ysera always ruins me. I am a non-crier. I have a concerning lack of emotion a lot of the times. (Unless one of my pet birdies die, then I’m wreck)
But then Ysera comes along, dying and stuff and WHAM! Right into the ol’ feelings. How dare she?
THEN!!!
There’s the BLUE Dragonflight questline that is ALSO gut wrenching! What’s wrong with these DRAGONS?
I will also say, anything with Night Elves also gets the ol’ waterworks going. Talking to all my besties after saving them from the Maw AND more recently Tyrande’s speech when they anoint the new Moonwell. STOP IT ELVES, I’M TRYING TO BE STOIC AND MYSTERIOUS BUT NOW I’M CRYING IN MY PAJAMAS IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER SCREEN.

I got the scarlet set for my worgen just to mess with scarlet RPers.

The important thing for me was STORMHAMMERS.
I should go farming forms on my druid and get her ready to get the extra special white heritage armor, but I’m A ) Going on vacation with no computer soon and B ) don’t wanna.

No, but see, the thing is now I can put them on top of the scarfs that are in the head slot and just stack neck decorations.
I was reading an article talking about DnD as a therapy tool and they mentioned that it’s helpful because it lets us be in a safe place while still experiencing the situation via the character/avatar.
It’s an interesting phenomena and has been a boon for therapists looking for different ways to connect with their patients and help them process and develop.
I doubt wow will ever be seen as a therapy tool, but I do know that some of my first serious moments of feeling were from games.
WoW needs more body slots, but just for cosmetics.
I want more jewelry. Rings, necklaces, piercings, hoods and goggles that are not both just head slot items, cloaks and backpacks seperate, things like that.
And let Sledgie stack up hundreds of neck cosmetics so she can be the most blinged out dwarf!!

Nothing to feel awkward about that’s actually a good suggestion. I would love more customization options for our characters.
Oh and since I’m of the mind…
I was running some Dragonflight quests, while listening to Spotify, and got to the part where we help save an egg and this rolls into my feed as the big red oaf runs off to be a hero…
I was totally not having trouble seeing to run… I swear I wasn’t…
So, I finally was able to make my worgens human form in such a way that I’m pleased with it. Only took me 2 hrs, but I did it.
