I do have a plan! It sounds ingenious in my head, it might lead to wipes, but I know you will not votekick me because I will not let us leave combat long enough to vote!!

For me, my criticism of Dracthyr isnât that they donât look tough enough, because yeah
Itâs just that Drakonids look kinda like cool dudes with a lot of expressive body language and Dracthyr look like snakes and i like cool dudes but i donât much care for snakes
This may well be the only time in WoW I do not prefer the skinnier version to the buff gorilla version but here we are

It was neat, though Iâm not a fan of having that many people running around spawn camping. For some reason they didnât raise the drop rates of anything⌠twenty kills for four eyes⌠close to thirty for the mucus⌠I still donât have a single tiger pelt despite killing eight of themâŚ
who thought having the totem randomly poping around made it feel like a discovery? That just pissed me off. Also gating crap behind the kindness of strangers is really pushing it on classic.
I had to log out and barnstorm a few characters through some retail raids.

I was mostly venting about the perception of power/effectiveness equaling large muscles.
Iâd never claim someoneâs physical preferences, regardless of the modifiers, are invalid. I donât hold it against someone if they donât find myself attractive just as Iâd like them to not hold it against me that I donât them.

Perhaps a hot take, but I wish there was a thinner male Draenei option. Why do they have to be fridges with legs. Make a thicc female one as well.

I would really love for us to get 1 to 3 more body types per race. It will never ever happen, lol, but I would love it.
I totally get where youâre coming from, Nightsong, I used to gripe about WoWâs muscle obsession so much.

To be fair about the Dracthyr and their perceived power, people do have to remember they were being controlled by Nethalarion with the Oathbinder titan relic.
I suspect a lot of their battle prowess was a combination of how Nethalarion designed them and him subtlety influencing some of their actions.
(Though he does note in the book that Emberthal was exceptionally good at coordinating her troops)

I am afraid the backlash over drakthyr will scare them from ever doing anything lithe again. So itâll be muscleland for the rest of time.
Yeah, the Classic experience isnât really for everyone and I get that 100%. For some reason thereâs an insane amount of hostility between people who play Retail vs Classic like itâs some weird competition on which is more âdeadâ. Itâs super bizarre!
I think I have the benefit of having an IRL group of friends who will ONLY play when thereâs a Classic season, so itâs a chance for me to socialize in a comfortable setting that Iâm used to. It has itâs moments, I definitely prefer retail for longevity but itâs also nice to mix it up and actually have friends to play with even if temporary!
Iâm crossing my fingers for this someday too actually. They did change the genders to âbody typesâ so I kinda saw that as a window of opportunity to add more options even if itâs a long way down the road. It seems like theyâre slowly adding more and more customizations over time and those are generally well received by players so you never know!

I would love more body type options. We could have just rolled the Kul Tiranâs into the human system and would have still worked to have the two âraceâ options.
Iâd imagine most of it did given how they reacted in that cinematic.
This is interesting. Very interesting to me since it suggests the control was both overt and subtle as well suggesting that gauntlet was very interesting and very dangerous as it might also be why so many were ok with the Titans and not realizing they were being controlled.

There were huge backlashes to Island Expeditions and Torghast and we are continuing to get iterations on their concepts. The only time that something seems to have completely shut down is player housing, and given the radical new attitudes on transmog and flying I am not sure that will stick.
Going back to body type, we have the enduring popularity of elves, I donât really see them deciding the key problem with Dracthyr being âthey were not muscle enoughâ. (Even if male belves are actually much more muscle than most WoW players realize given the characters they are standing next to).

See, I played that already. I did that back in the ancient times, when I was younger and prettier but 1000% less charming and funny.
Why would I want to go back to being less funny and charming, in exchange for being pretty, which no one will see, and younger, when I was so much more insecure?

Iâm probably gonna play SoD because my friendâs so excited about it but god I basically hated everything about Vanilla except the world design and I like good graphics too much to want to go back.
Iâm mostly telling myself itâll be an opportunity to see penance again without the awful POWER OF THE DARK SIDE proc they added to it. >:( I donât like the dark side! Why is that stronger than the regular version??? (Also why did they remove Shadow Mend, that was actually a cool concept / animation if you were really going to go hard on the Shadow nonsense. Two steps forward/one back no matter where you fall there.)

Yeah. I canât really enjoy playing bigger Races. Highmountain Tauren have great Racials, and Manari Draenei look awesome, but I prefer a more slight build. It sucks that all the Druid races on both factions are giants - at least they can shapeshift.
Blood Elves are perfectly sized. I love Vulpera and Mechagnomes, because they are tiny. But I never feel like playing a hulking Character.
Even Humans are a bit bulky for my taste - then they go and make fatter ones. With the thinner ones not being playable. We definitely need a few options for height / body size.

Human women are alright but the men are gorillas and whenever they try to write one as a slight unathletic person it doesnât work for me, like Rannan from the Expedition. Like yes muscles people can be nerds, but theyâre not going to be terrified of physical labor and exertion.

We need a game where the âheroesâ wear black and look grim but are actually incredibly kind and helpful and the âvillainsâ wear white and look and talk like saints but are actually vile.
I might have just been playing in Legion and got to the part where Ysera is turned âevilâ and was thinking how she looks better in red and black.

Like, I just cannot with dragons 99% of the time. They do nothing at all for me. Dragons = boring.

I help the best character in all of Warcraft history, Lady Moonberry, and do some stuff with some cozy centaurs or satyrs or whatever they are. Something-something seed, now youâre making me do a walking escort quest and thatâs never okay, weird and rude Winter Queen shows up, hurry this up already, I just wanna-
Boom.

Arguing about the seed. Winter Queen has a heart after all or something. She touches the seed.

When I heard sheâd be returning for Dragonflight, I made sure to find out when that quest takes place so Iâd be emotionally ready. She got me twice; there will not be a third time.

I like Lionâs Rest well enough, but the music is way too melodramatic and intrusive.
Stormwind is a city whose main theme involves faux-latin chanting and Lionâs Restâs music manages to out-cheese it by a full degree of magnitude, itâs wild.
