Can’t wait for a dynamic druid flight form. Or Hell just the ability to bird form in the Isles would be nice.
Keep nearly offing my Druid because I keep jumping off stuff only to turn into a deer which aren’t known for their aerodynamics unless they have a shiny red nose.
I tell you though alt hopping really reminds me why I love this game. Bouncing around Destro Lock, Arms Warrior and Balance Druid staves off boredom pretty handily. Particularly in PvP.
Balance is the ultimate scout sniper. Cat form’s stealth and tracking is amazing for making sure you never get ambushed, and the tiny cat model is arguably better than even Gnome/Goblin for snatching flags just out’ve the guards view.
Destro remains my favorite walking weapon of mass destruction. The Velf Racial is actually amazing for the spec as it let’s you bounce around all over the place with Demonic Circle. Can’t wait to unlock Gate and that new Destro ultimate that tears open holes in reality to bombard targets with random cosmic chaos;
And Arms Warrior remains so strangely fun for how mundane it really is. Obviously WoW Warriors could give Achilles and Gilgamesh a run for their money in terms of feats of raw strength. But you’re ultimately running up against people who wield incomprehensibly powerful magics with just a pointy bit of metal and a bad attitude. But that’s a fun fantasy in itself;
You know, It’s been a long time since I got the other Pathfinder achievements, but I felt like Dragon Isles Pathfinder was by far the easiest one to get. I’m pretty sure that when they announced it, I just found the character that had done the most story line quests for each zone and finished them. Then just flew around the Emerald Dream for a bit for the Explore Emerald Dream achievement. I’m looking forward to dynamic flight bird form, but static flight in bird form is really useful in the Emerald Dream especially.

I’ve still seen nothing past the first wave of content. The downside to stopping midway through an expansion is that you’ve no idea which way is up when you log back in months later.
Hoping playing through on a Druid will make it more intriguing. Really didn’t feel like my Forsaken toons had much to do. Which is a shame as I thought the Dragonscale Expedition could’ve used more RAS. Especially because there’s usually a few Apothecaries kicking around the Reliquary.
Don’t get me wrong I do love that the Forsaken and Worgen got their homes back. But that whole plotthread makes it even weirder from a RP perspective. Kinda feel like my toons would be in Tirisfal helping reorganize rather than dicking around with some lizards. Seriously I was hoping we might get Sindragosa or another Dracolich to pop up as Undeath’s unofficial aspect. Or at least that’d gnoll decay magic might go anywhere.
But it is what it is. I’m used to the Forsaken not having much to do but it’s made weirder when there’s an unrelated B plot in the background with everything for them to do. Makes a story I’m meh about that much harder to care about.

I definitely feel ya. I’ve had stops and starts, but even not exactly knowing what the bigger picture was, I found completing the zones’ story lines not too difficult to follow on their own. Or maybe it was just worth it to me get it done for static bird flying, I don’t exactly remember, but it was worth it. I have no complaints about dragon riding at all, but I’m a dang druid and sometimes you just want to be a bird. Or a pterrodax, as the case may be. Especially in the not-explicitly-druid-themed-but-definitely-druid-adjacent patch of the expansion.

I am, as mentioned, a terrible healer.
I do not have the instincts or reflexes and I am beating them into my head through persitent shuffle matches.
I had a rather long round where halfway through, a ret got it into his head to play chase the healer while my hunter’s pets mauled him and the other team’s rogue swapped between the shadow priest and me.
The ret had whittled my health and cooldowns a bit and he started to get confident while my shadow priest still had her cooldowns. So I limped behind a pillar to recover.
What, dear reader, Mr. Ret was not aware of was that I had deep breath up.
So he rounds the pillar, wings blazing, full blood elf paladin glory… and not a lot of health, but a lot of confidence that he could finish this annoying dragon off and win the match! Be the hero! So he charges after me, away from his healer while the hunter’s pets gnawed on his heels.
And then I hit him with a full round of deep breath and his health melted between me and the pets.
Next round, I asked him how that felt to come around the corner and apologized. He responded with “-_-” and it felt fantastic.

Just stumbled onto this…
Edit: Personally I think the image should be of a Slaaneshi Marine… because I could easily see one of them singing something like this.

Undead. The only faction able to make Nurgle quiver.

Nagash is like the only god in Warhammer fanatasy that all 4 chaos gods collectively hate. And I find that to be amusing on a lot of levels.

As a Priest main you have no idea how common this is. It’s especially fun when your teammates run off in opposite directions.
As for me I’m still kinda shocked I like healing as much as I do. In PvP at least I love it because you frequently have the most imput on the match. I’ve snatched victory from the jaws of defeat more times than I can count.
But there’s no healing human stupidity. So a run of bad matches is especially demoralizing on Healer. As with DPS I’ve had matches where my team sucked but I still got off some awesome kills, objective steals, etc.
But on healer? Woo if you have a gaggle of idiots who can only communicate by complaining about your service while you’re being choke slammed by two rogues and a Destro lock. While you’re on flag and they’re dicking around on the road. Then you’re just not having a good time.
It’s particularly grating when you’re healing output overshadows the enemy’s, but that isn’t really making a difference because you’re apparently playing alongside a buncha brain damaged howler monkeys.
Granted when you do crush it feels like;
Which is probably why I keep coming back despite the frustrations.

Hoping Arms and/or Destro triggers an interest in Arena. I’ve done a lot of it on Priest and find the experience more stressful than exhilarating. Since you’re basically relying on your partner(s) to sort out the enemy while you run around desperately trying to keep them and yourself alive.
No riding up over-the-hill and immediately turning the tide like in BGs or WPvP.
I did a bit of it on MM Hunter and sadly they always just seem gimped in Arenas. As their main edge, the best range in game, is rendered fairly irrelevant. Rogue I liked but when I was playing Assassination was the meta. And while it was visually perfect for a Forsaken with blood and goo spraying all over the place, I just lack the patience to ever be satisfied with DoTs. They’re fun but there’s nothing like that coup de grâce thrill of an Execute, Chaos Blast or Shadow Dance.
Shadow I’ve played a lot and again visually S tier but that’s another spec I more tolerate than adore. It’s neat and certainly on brand for an undead but nothing tops getting off a Chaos Bolt just in the nick of time and obliterating someone.
Though it may be my favorite for large scale PvP. As shooting about two dozen ghosts out’ve you in every direction after tagging half the enemy team at Hangar remains the coolest looking spell in game.

It’s why I love watching bear tanks and healers duking it out in PvP. Healer starts laughing because the tanks alone but than 40 mins later, neither is dead and both just keep self healing and popping defensive CDs.

Yeah those things are monsters.
Distinctly remember one Isle of Conflict match. Forget which expansion but either BFA or SL. And this one bear just would not die. Dude must’ve had Mythic+ raid gear or top echelon PvP stuff because he was legitimately unstoppable.
Thankfully the dude DC’ed as he was leading the charge up to our general and we were able to hold the line long enough for our team to win.
I’ve heard of carrying a match but carrying the whole butt EBG? God Damn.

Yeah, really geared out bear tanks are an absolute nightmare to go up against. A few days ago, horde had a bear tank in full Conquest gear, fully upgraded. They basically carried the entire match.
Like, we legit could not get his HP under 90% now matter how hard we tried. They’re scarier now than Blood DKs are and I remember the days when everyone hated seeing Blood DKs on the field.

Definitely looking into that.
Going to revive my Forest Troll Disney Princess Primalist idea. I like mixing the “The woodland critters come to aid me at my song” shtick with essentially;
I stuck mainly to Resto and Balance on my Worgen so look forward to learning Feral and Guardian on the other.
I tell you though Worgen Druid would be platinum plated S tier fantasy if they could use Worgen/Wolf forms for their Feral and Guardian forms. The kicker is there’s already options for humanoid bear and cat forms available so it’s not off the table.
I get this question of logic has been around for awhile. Like idk just a Tauren seems pretty formidable to me as do the giant, ripped as hell Kaldorei but ya know the cats, bears and star chickens are magic so w/e. But the Worgen are already magic so why not just have a full worg model or altered Worgen model for their Guardian and Feral skins?
It annoys me because to this day nothing felt better than Fury Warrior Worgen, seriously give it a try it feels exactly like this;
But being married to just one spec doesn’t work. I’d love if my Druid could stay in human / Worgen form but then when it’s time to go Feral the slider has officially gone deeper into the beast side of the manbeast spectrum.

Am loving my Worgen Druid.
Still working on the specifics but general idea is he was a trush fund lush wizard college drop out who decided to practice art and be a ‘citizen of the world’. IE; a blithering tourist with a mostly drunken and ‘I’m the main character’ attitude to other cultures.
This goes terribly awry. He’s turned into the official guard dog of a hag poking around Karazhan for years. And is ‘Freed’ by pledging himself to a lunatic demon soul who is partially a well renowned bard from a few years ago.
So he’s freeish now. But Malithrac has him on a leash and constantly makes him do annoying, criminal and occasionally depraved ish depending on his whims. But he knows the daughter of one of the three people themselves holding Malithrac’s leash so, he’s playing the angle as always.

I am deeply judging you. WH40k is a giant ish show. I actually take umbrage with the fact that, as much as you love rats, you don’t join my cause in changing the face of the Skaven.
Ok, maybe you won’t need to die.

'Cos an actual rat faction would be the most confusing ish imaginable. Rats are basically tiny humans crossbred with dogs and potatoes. They have strong pack bonds of 2-12 or so but don’t really vibe in groups larger than that but do so anyway for matters of survival. Also they’re mostly like this;
See also Warhammer Fantasy’s Beastmen. They’re shown as merciless wandering barbarians. Have you met goats? Because they do defy all order and logic but usually like this;
How does it work? Idk how do they walk up sheer 90 degree cliffs.
I’ve learned to stop asking questions. Just shrugging and accepting nonsense is how you avoid becoming a Lovecraft short story protagonist.
