It’s a fine addiction if you’re ridiculously wealthy, I suppose.

I am not. But I am friends with a techbro who owns a 3D printer. I’d say more but I’m pretty sure I’ll be assassinated by GW if I do.

I can only assume the premiums they charge for cheap plastic is to pay for a fleet of hunter-killer drones.

I remember fondly the Rogue Trader days when the core rule book taught you how to make a speeder transport with an old deodorant stick and a plastic spoon and gave you stats for it.

I used to play Armageddon Steel Legion and just used dollar store army toys in place of A LOT.

But they went and not only gave the Necron personalities but made one of their most spotlighted lore dudes an insane histographer who just kidnaps platoons to put them in a musuem.

So exactly what I’d be if you gave me a phylactery.

So, sorry humanity but;

In other news if I didn’t mention it my new puppy is a black lab pitbull mix. That’s her mother’s parentage at least but given her behavior I’m just assuming dad was a nuclear reactor.

I’m a 30 year old man who’s spent at least an hour in the gym most days for the last 7 years. And she damn near breaks me before I can finally tire her out.

I basically adopted this;

I will enjoy watching the meltdown of the MHPs on twitter when we finally get rid of the remnants of the Scarlet Crusade.

I quite like being under 6ft as a matter of fact. Tall women can scarcely accuse me of being a creep. What? They’re simply at my eye level.

So apparent Putin now intends to open fire on any ship coming in or out of Ukrainian ports?

And like just intellectually speaking I could see the worry of weapons being smuggled in to the Ukranian side under the guise of grain exports.

But uh. Nothing is being smuggled to Ukraine. The USA and EU support and supply their war effort loudly and in broad daylight. This isn’t like a Soviet Afghanistan scenario where weapons are being gifted with plausible deniability in mind. You’ve American APCs and German tanks physically on the battlefield with promises of more to come.

So. Is there just like lead in the water in Moscow? Do they’ve extremely poorly translated history books that suggest the sinking of the Lusitania worked out well for Imperial Germany?

What is the thinking? Man I almost envy historians of the future. This is gonna be one of those topics you could go on for days about because the sheer ‘???’ of it never stops.

It’s an excuse to put economic pressure on other nations through cutting off food shipments from Ukrianian ports and a propaganda point to be used to claim Ukrianian forces are illegitimate. On paper it’s not a terrible military and political tactic, though I fully grant that it is a morally detestable one. That being said it could and likely will backfire with potentially horrific consequences for Russia and every other party involved. Cutting off the grain shipments in particular is going to worsen food crises around the world. As for stopping or firing upon any ships coming into a Ukranian port, wars have started for less.

I just remain perplexed what in God’s name the strategy is here. If it was just the USA propping up Ukraine I could see them holding out for the 2024 election with the hope an isolationist candidate gets in. Putin would hardly be the first weird looking dude starting a land war in Europe betting on that horse.

But the UK, France and Germany have all shown they’re in it for the long haul. Not to mention this whole debacle has made NATO stronger than it’s been since the height of the Cold War. So even if you buy this was a defensive, uh, invasion to counter NATO expansionsism then you’d have to admit it’s failed spectacularly.

Once the Russians lost the Battle of Antonov Airport they really should’ve just gone “IT WAS A PRANK BRO” and booked it. Their initial strategy hinged on seizing that then landing as much as they could in marching distance of Kiev.

And yeah if they were able to surround the capitol early on and blast the hell out’ve it they probably would’ve succeded.

Trouble is Ukraine has approximately one airport large enough to land planes carrying armored vehicles in orbit of Kiev. So it didn’t exactly take Napoleon Bonaparte to figure out what Putin was up to.

And in a truly heroic charge well before they had any NATO toys the Ukranian army smashed through the defensive line and seized Antonov Airport. It was impossible to hold it for long, but they didn’t need to hold it for any longer than it took to destroy.

After that Russia had to move in it’s troops by land like this is still the 1930s and it’s been an ongoing military disaster for them ever since.

Honestly the saddest casualty of that battle was the Antonov An-225 Mriya. The largest aircraft ever built designed by the USSR to ferry it’s spacecraft into low orbit.

Sadly it’d never fulfill it’s destiny of bringing mankind to the stars but it’s last mission was a noble one. It transported massive amounts of Covid-19 tests and vaccines all across Europe and Asia during the pandemic.

Was a really one of a kind machine encouraging cooperation between nations and a hope for a better future where we’d face the final frontier together.

It’s scrap now. So. That’s just a lovely example of the direction we’re headed.

I’m upset I can’t get anyone to do the Barbenheimer Itinerary with me.

You’re gonna wanna see Oppenheimer pretty early since it’s a 3 hour movie. So I figure you hit a 10:30am showing after a breakfast consisting of black coffee and a cigarette.

Ya get out of that at around 1:45 and give yourself a solid half hour to ponder about man’s inhumanity to man and how we developed the means to destroy the world before we overcame the delusions of wanting to.

Then ya hit brunch with a lot of mimosas. Change from the monochrome black suits you obviously wore for Oppenheimer into something more summery and pink.

Then you hit up Barbie.

I’d do Barbenheimer. I see all the Barbenhiemer memes going around. Florence Pugh is my favorite.

A saw Asteroid City a couple weekends ago. I love Wes Anderson but I didn’t know there would be a Scarlet Johannson nude scene in it. It was a pleasant surprise.
