How good is the story progression in FF oneline? Like, could I level from 1 and experience everything, or are somethings locked out, or what?

Progression is extremely linear. Everything from unlocking dungeons to your first mount is locked behind the storyline quests, so youā€™ll see everything you need to see to understand stuff with no worries.

Raids are all optional side stories that usually have no impact on the main story. This recommendation to do the Crystal Tower raid before Shadowbringers comes out is a new thing, raids have never affected the main plot before.

Every class has its own class storyline too. Sometimes characters from there will appear in the main story, and if you did that quest theyā€™ll recognize you (biggest example being the Dragoon quest), but nothing is really missed out from not doing them either. The Dragoon character for example is properly introduced to non-Dragoons when he first appears in the main story so youā€™re not lost.

Hm. Interesting. Maybe FF could help me actually quit WoW for good.

Though to be totally honest itā€™s this forumā€™s community that keeps me here.

Iā€™m still not done thinking about this by the way https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/294237941335719938/559072525368164424/WoWScrnShot_032319_104442.jpg

Reignā€™s not kidding about everything being questing content. Even the barber shop is locked behind a small quest chain.

Iā€™m probably most excited for Dancer. I really liked how it looked when they showed the armor off on a male Au Ra.

Iā€™m going to wait for Shadowbringers to be released before I buy FFXiV. That way, I get all the previous expansions along with it as advertised.

While that will save you money, levelling to max in FF14 requires you to beat the main story questlineā€¦which is something like 400+ hours long at this point. Or at least it did. Werenā€™t they removing the need for it in Shadowbringers?

I love this meme format, but the actual episode wasā€¦ really odd. It felt kind of painful to watch because basically every character was supernaturally dumb. Hope this mini arc wraps up soon so we can dive more into the recently revealed twists! I got some big theories Iā€™m hoping get confirmed >:D

Iā€™d unironically love this as an expansion or raid tier! Big light crystals everywhere, poisoning the land ala Bloodmyst. An army of zealots shouting righteousness at us like weā€™re the Lich King to their Tirion. Maybe a gronn with jagged pieces of a naaru sticking out of his spinal column, overriding his consciousness? Thatā€™d be neat.

Oh wow, that looks fantastic! Cā€™mon Blizzard, make our dreams come true. And pleeeeease explain faerie dragons on Draenor in the process.

At the center of the Flood of Light is usually caused by the Cloud of Darkness with a core of Darkness surrounded by Light just as the Cloud of Darkness with a core of Light surrounded by Darkness causes the Flood of Darkness.

Light and Darkness are both on the side of the Void in Final Fantasy and both serve the Cloud of Darkness who is the emissary of the Void(which is the Nothingness used by Xemnas of Kingdom Hearts).

Hey, can someone here tell me what happened to Lena? I loved to read her fanatical draenei and human bashing posts, these were funny.

Lena quit after their raid group fell apart since they absolutely hated the story.

Thatā€™s in FF3. The Cloud of Darkness is a completely separate thing in FF14. Sheā€™s from the Thirteenth Shard, which was destroyed by a Flood of Darkness thousands of years ago, and we fought and killed her already. Light and darkness donā€™t serve anything in FF14. Nobody commands them, no one is organizing these floods, itā€™s just how the world works. Like I said the villains of the game donā€™t want these floods to happen either, they want the world to still exist.

Thatā€™s exciting! I wish they could be girls though ā€“ one of my favorite recruitable blitzers in FFX was a female Ronso. Of course, male or female, Ronso or Viera, I doubt Iā€™d be switching from Lalafell anyway. So itā€™s fine~

I was kinda hoping theyā€™d be a support class. I had a ā€œmy HPS donā€™t lieā€ joke thought up and everythingā€¦!

It has been a long while since Iā€™ve done Crystal Tower, but I am pretty sure we didnā€™t kill her. More just pushed her back for a time. It was the clones that made any headway, and that was solely because they had Xandeā€™s blood in them, therefore allowing them to harness the contract that he had signed. It was why the catboy had to stay behind; The CoD would eventually return, and the only way to keep her contained was to seal the tower.

If Blizzard ever gets around to giving me things I want:

I know alot of people are upset theyā€™re not a healer (almost as many as are upset about no bunbois). But ranged dps is my shtick, so Iā€™m just going to sit here quietly, and hope the mobs donā€™t notice me being happy.

Iā€™ve looked up Joseph Merrick AKA the Elephant Man and he was active in Real Life at the same time Batman was in Official Continuity! Furthermore Joseph Merrick had multiple handlers that he willingly worked under.

If someone at DC Comics were to put Joseph Merrick into a couple of Batman Stories the best characters to serve as his handlers would be Penguin and Joker since they served as Circus Managers quite a few times. Naturally the Joker would be the abusive manager that Dr. Treves claimed to have saved Joseph Merrick from before exploiting him as a hospital curiosity.

Naturally Killer Croc(who constantly refuses to be a Man and insists on being an Animal and more specifically a Crocodile) would be in the exhibit next to Joseph Merrickā€™s in a DC Comics Adaption of Joseph Merrickā€™s story.

Furthermore the New Teen Titansā€™ own Elephant Man(which actually has an Elephant head) should be seized by the Joker in the Epilogue to serve as the new Elephant Man since Joseph Merrick was rescued by Dr. Treves decades ago and later died of neck dislocation due to lying down in a hospital bed despite having too big a head(the head of a genius in my opinion).

Looking into old ideas for Warcraft and WoW is fascinating. Thereā€™s so many things that seem strange nowadays.

Like the fact Kalimdor was absolutely tiny originally, or that there was going to be a continent named Ulduar during the planning stages of WCIII.

They apparently didnā€™t quite know where to put the Dark Portal, and toyed with having it on Kalimdor. I guess itā€™d be a new Dark Portal. The original one was pretty tiny back in WCIIā€™s days.

Heck, apparently it may have actually been the original plan for night elves to throw their lot in with the Horde, back in the planning stages of WCIII. A map made in 1999 of the world had the night elves share their colour (green) with orcs, tauren and goblins (no trolls). The blue banners were humans, dwarves and high elves. Thereā€™s also red, which I canā€™t tell is supposed to be a third faction, or just a colour used for hostile factions.

I do love looking at concepts and ideas.

I was doing some quests on my Horde paladin today to finally see their side of the story and I was turning in a few outpost missions to Nathanos. At the end of the quest information for the turn in he actually says ā€œgo with honor.ā€ It was so weird to read given that, well, itā€™s Nathanos.

They are my drug, not going to lie. Any time a new secret area was uncovered in WoW and it popped up on Youtube I got so giddy. That one huge list of things left out of Vanilla is something else I could read for hours.

Itā€™d have been interesting to have Night Elves been on Horde back then. As savage as they were they also had an air of nobility to them, so working alongside the other Horde races would have been neat to see, if only for the inevitable ā€œlesser beingā€ racism theyā€™d throw around.
