I thought Rogue One was quite good at least. There are definitely a lot of narrative flaws in the new main movies though. I did enjoy sassy/sarcastic Luke, but that might just be me enjoying Mark Hamil.

This is definitely what I was enjoying. The “do you feel the Force?” moment with the palm frond killed me. I just wanted more of that and less insane nonsensical “i’m not telling you” plans on a ship and/or overly long casino sequences.

Vent all you want. I’ll be right there by your side supporting you the entire time.

I’ve gotten the backlash myself when I mentioned how much I dislike the new sequels. I was told I was not a true Star Wars fan. Me, someone who has been a fan since probably before most of them were even born.

Seeing him acting again was a small treat. He seems like a swell guy and of course he’ll always be the voice of the Joker. I wish he could have been involved in the same episode of The Venture Brothers with Kevin Conroy

If you haven’t you should check out his appearnces as the Trickster on The Flash. He’s pretty much just playing live action, off-brand Joker and he seemed like he was having a blast with it.

Pretty sure W is for wumbo.

This only reminds me we will never have stick boy Kul Tirans or their tentacle faced brethren. What a mistake. What a shame.

I’ve seen the clips, Mark Hamil is really a nice gem of a man (outside Twitter). I also dig that he’s genuinely happy that he got to portray Luke and be a part of so many lives. Always seemed really excited and engrossed when talking about Star Wars.

It also helped to soothe my anger that he, on multiple occasions in interviews, seemed to have a distaste for the new material and the way Luke was portrayed. I understand that he’s also voiced praise on them too, and defended aspects but I got stuck with the impression those were done through clenched teeth.

He’s got to make a living and that means he’s got to play it smart with Disney. He would have been a fool not to act in the newer films, I get that and have no ill will towards him at all. Also a beard really suits him.

It’s fun watching him do interviews. This one still cracks me up.

Edit: ooh! Trust Level 3!

Oof. This hurts. My sub isn’t even up and this hurts.

Why can’t I be a Mindflayer, Blizz?

Ion: People want High Elves, Ethereals, and Void stuff? I know just what to do…

A bit sad today. Been playing Hearthstone since April 2015, and it’s only just now that I’ve missed my first seasonal card back. Hearthstone is basically what brought me into WoW after Liadrin popped up as a earn-able hero.

Always tried to find a little time here and there to earn the card-back of the month, even with all the changes Blizz does to that game, but I guess now the little tradition is broken. :pensive:

Much like WOW, everyone who made Hearthstone great retired or got fired. Why even play without Brode?

Well I was never really a Hearthstone “enthusiast” so I don’t really keep up with what goes on behind the scenes there. Can’t say I look out for any content coming from it’s community either, since 99% of the time I play the game is on the toilet. :poop:

I do look up the artists though, was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of them on Artstation, including artists for WoW and other Blizz games too.

way to go

I mean, technically it does save money? They aren’t paying the salaries for those 800 people anymore so…

You and me both! Liadrin’s announcement was what brought me into WoW. But that’s also when I found myself less playing Hearthstone each day, I missed lot of cardbacks… I think I lost count. I still keep tab on the new expansions, cards and artworks though. It’s always awesome content.

They have to pay all those people severance packages (and taxes thereof), and they admit that cutting those jobs may not produce significant increases in efficiency or savings.

They technically save money long term by paying fewer wages, but it costs money in the short term. By the time it would actually represent any savings, they may need to hire new people that they would then have to spend money to train and integrate into their workforce, money they could have saved if they kept on the old people.

The linked article details Actiblizz’s admission to shareholders that this move may not actually save any money at all in the long run.

Sorry, my intent at making a funny/tone-deaf post didn’t quite come across like I had meant it to
