The ending just made my jaw drop. Even knowing what happens, I didn’t expect it to happen in that way. I was imagining what it’d feel like to be a kid again having to do such a scary thing like going away from your family and home into what is basically enemy territory… gosh…
Anyways I just watched the trailer for Quantumania and I’m digging the alien visuals

I personally love the look of Jonathan Majors version of Kang. Character looks absolutely amazing
As far as the last episode of HOTD goes, I did enjoy it a lot. It was unexpected, especially how poor Lucrys died. Poor kid

THIS. I always like to say like I can understand why someone does something, but that doesn’t make their behavior acceptable. We all have take responsibility for ourselves, otherwise we’ll never learn.
Honestly I loved him so much in Loki, and also the cartoon version in The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. After all these fantasy shows, I really want some superhero action. It’s just sad that there won’t be an X-Men anytime soon

Supposedly wolverine will be in Deadpool 3 and Marvel has been teasing the x-men for a while now. I just want them to show up already

Yeah SL managed to damn near break the RP community which is really it’s most amazing feat.
Because we’re pretty good at making our own fun. But SL really screwed with that as the conceit of it’s story alienated a lot of people’s characters. Any more grounded mercenary or soldier type was pretty out of their element and even more cosmic magical types struggled to fit in.
And even that may have been manageable but the limbo Azeroth was left in made it impossible to just do your own stories. Hope you didn’t write about anythihg happening in Lakeshire because now it has to include a zombie apocalypse.
This actually happened to me with SFK. I’d been using it as a reoccuring setting as haunted castles are fun and quite a lot of it is accessible in the overworld so you can throw events there. The courtyard is huge, you can have people manning the ramparts, and the tower is a big fenced in square ideal for duel tournaments.
Well that turned out to be a mistake as the Bloodfang took it off screen. And I found myself having to write off lore as Alliance propaganda. Because the only reason I was using SFK was because with Brill and the UC gone there aren’t many Forsaken areas that aren’t locked behind questline phasing. And some like Andorhal and the Sludgefields have phases the Alliance can’t access so screw you if you wanted to arrange a fun fight.
So I tried to be a good sport about SL but just couldn’t parse how my character would learn all this stuff about the true nature of undeath but decide not to share it with the Forsaken ASAP. So I then go alright well I’ll focus on a part of Azeroth disconnected from the main storyline. But nope can’t do that either without having to outright ignore story points.
And even then I might’ve stuck around because I do love the minute to minute gameplay of WoW. But SL’s design was such a frustrating headache. The audacity of making you have to start from square one with every Covenant was absurd. Particularly as they kept tinkering with your Cov abilities. I initially had my Priest in Maldraxxus and DK in Dreth because it was thematically a good fit for them and everyone said Cov abilities wouldn’t be that important. But Mind Games is such a clutch Priest spell we’re keeping it moving forward. So after beating the Venthyr and Necro campaigns I had to swap my characters around and do it again.
WoW is lucky it is actually an extremely well designed game at it’s heart. I’ve bopped around a lot of MMOs and WoW really is the GOAT of Class design. It’s genuinely impressive how every spec feels unique. I’ve mentioned how I prefer Destro Lock to Fire Mage and S Priest to Aff Lock. Because despite these specs sounding identical on paper they have completely different gameplay flows and feels.
So I’m willing to meet WoW halfway on a lot. But abysmal end game design coupled with a story that’s frequently frustrating if not outright insulting is a deal breaker.

This is totally a minuscule thing LOL but its bugging me slightly
When they have Rhaenys deliver the line “the high septon crowned Aegon in the dragon pit” I was like ugh I feel like this is wrong but what ever- mostly because the Great Sept of Baelor hasn’t been built yet so the High Septon is still in the Starry Sept outside of Oldtown and in the book material its Septon Eustace who crowns Aegon, but again I was like okay maybe its a show thing the high septon was there visiting idc.
But then later when Otto is listing Aegon’s symbols of legitimacy in the same episode he says Aegon was crowned by “a septon of the faith” which is the line they should have also given Rhaenys because which is it the High Septon or a Septon.
It’s not a huge thing but in my head I’m like oh no this is the Starbucks cup all over again where they start to just have silly little details not matter lol

the new UI is terrible and the new talent trees nerfed my dps so much to the point where I can’t even complete a basic quest by killing a hard non-elite mob so… how’s everyone else’s day going?
Intending to check that out later today.
On the onehand I think it’s not a bad idea to give players some space to toy with these new features. But with the lack of anything else to do it kinda feels like a homework assignment.
Interested in the talents though but I do figure the top builds will make the rounds soon enough and you either go with that or just play at a sub optimal level. Which isn’t that big of a deal in PvE but in PvP your disadvantage becomes apparent pretty quickly.
I am hopeful for this new rating system though as ideally now you have room to experiment. And just maybe try weird ideas for the hell of it without watching your ranking like it’s your damn credit score.
Tell ya one thing though, nice to no longer be looking at the SL login screen at least.
at this point this is the only perk lol

I putz around with the new talent tree before work this morning and didn’t really notice a drop in dps. In longer fights I actually have more options now.
With kill command having two charges and a 30% to summon a dire beast, the dire beast ability, fire trap is back in my rotation again, etc.
It feels good to have a viable build still as a solo player. I can’t speak for anyone else naturally

I just find it a bit odd there’s no new content to speak of. When you’d think this weeks long purgatory in between stuff would be the perfect opportunity to show things have changed in the intervening 5 years.
I don’t need like a massive epic questline but something in the vein of say the Vulpera unlock quest, where we bop around zones to check in on projects and threats, would be pretty welcome.
Ya know come to think maybe I’ll push my Belf Paladin. He’s low enough in level that I can get a hang of the new talent and UI gradually. And I do want to see that Ghostlands quest.
I just kinda struggle to get hyped about Blood Knights. Cool name and outfit but man is it weird for the Sin’Dorei to have melee and calvary specialists. Like even in just the field of Paladin the Horde has kodo and now golden triceratops knights.
My head canon is their main X factor is agility. Because I’m just kinda assuming those eyebrows of theirs operate in similar fashion to whiskers or antenna. Gives them an extra sense for vibration, air motion, etc.
Not sure what else they’d be for at any rate. Maybe mating displays? They waggle them really while swaying side to side like peacock spiders.

I dunno but it they made Void Elf paladins before they make Undead paladins I’m going to flip a table or smthg
When they said new race/class combos I ran to see if undead could be paladins but I didn’t see any new race/class combos so I don’t know what they are talking about.

Everyone can be Mages, Rogues and Priests now. Which I think is a result of them just having the animations for all those ready to go.
A new Paladin race class combo means a new Paladin mount, most notably for the Crusader’s charge ability. So I can understand why that’s a taller order.
Personally if I was doing Forsaken Paladins I’d use a version of the white skeletal battle horse with striped black or yellow caparison. Because in general I’d style them after the Knights Teutonic.
You barely even have to fantasy them up. Dudes were running around in demon horn helmets. Well, the important people who werent intending to fight did. Others worse more sensible stuff.

Ugh the prospect of mucking around with the UI on top of Talent Trees… I probably won’t even log into WoW until the weekend. It sounds like I will have to set up stuff for an hour or more before I can even try to have fun.
I got home yesterday, and I just skipped all that set up for later. I think I will be doing that for a few days.
