Yeah, kind of amazing that people donât know this ideology is responsible for the highest body count in human history in less than 100 years.
Iâm not uncritical of the failures of centralized planning. But people do seem oblivious to the ethnic strifes in the USSR and PRC that lead to very specific groups being starved.
Weirdly though nobody thinks like Adam Smith is responsible for the Irish Potatoe Famine. But somehow Karl Marx personally did the Holodomer. From the grave.

There are a lot of really good, legitimate criticisms to make of socialism and communism. The history of the USSR, PROC, and DPROK, among others, are fair play to bring up, because while you can criticize how they developed away from their root ideologies, they were still ultimately borne out of that tree.
I am not even a socialist, here. Mind, Iâm not hostile to them either; fascism is about the only major one that actually provokes my ire. I generally think ideology is good for coming up with policies but terrible at implementing them.
But every time you make this weird criticism where youâre effectively falling for fascist propaganda from a century ago â where fascists actively co-opted socialist language in order to benefit from its popular appeal â youâre dramatically discrediting your argument.
You have problems with Ren? A lot of people do. Iâm staying the hell out of that because I still donât know whatâs going on. But none of that, if we must insist on doing that every other day in this thread, requires out-of-the-blue attacks based on poor conceptions of history.

They used socialist language because they were literally socialists. Far even before fascism was conceptualized, itâs core founders were socialists writers and thinkers.
The propoganda is only what separates fascism from itâs socialist roots.

me too, while I enjoy socialst systems like free Healthcare (as I am Canadian) I am only ever truly anti-fascist and anti-authoritarian, anti-totalitarian. They think that means Iâm a Bolshevik.
Thatâs it, thatâs why they hate me, Iâm a woman, I am progressive and i have strong feminist opinions (and on a very surface level i am a jerk) Oh and because I called Doness sexist in private because he was acting sexist, but you really donât deserve to be pulled into that and I appreciate you not joining in on his dogpiling.

At least I have the last laugh that the clown deleted their Alex Jones blog.
my blog was actually âDark academia aestheticâ and I had a side blog about Sylvanas x Nathanos and I had a wow theorycrafting and lore blog. Who the hell is Alex Jones?
