I had the weirdest day yesterday. I got to leave work early and while I was heading home for a 4 day weekend I was driving in the right lane of a 2 lane county road and someone from the left lane decided they were going to just swing a right into a plaza that we were about to pass. Obviously, I t-boned them. Luckily we were only going like 30-40 mph because we were still accelerating from just having been stopped at a light but my car still got wrecked, couldn’t move it or open my own door.

Had to wait for it to be towed and then realized I had no ride home and my phone was about to die. I made a few calls around before it died but no one was available. Of course, the only numbers I have memorized are my mom and dad’s cell numbers. I ended up calling my dad from the cop’s phone but he was 2 hours away and my mom couldn’t leave work so I had no choice but to wait for my dad.

So I was walking over to Dunkin Donuts to get out of the cold while preparing myself to hang out there for 2 hours with a dead phone, hoping someone had a charger I could use. Then this car pulled up obviously having witnessed the incident and the driver asked if I needed a ride home. At first, I was hesitant because it looked like just one old man and I’m a young female who has watched way too much ID Channel… but then his wife propped her head up to smile at me.

I know it’s a bad idea to get in cars with strangers but they were just too old and I didn’t really feel any kind of fight or flight response activating in my brain once I saw both of them. I really wanted to go home after standing out in the 25-degree coldness for about an hour staring at my broken car. It didn’t matter anyway, they were both really nice and I felt comfortable with the wife chatting at me the entire 20-minute car ride to my house (we would find out that we both worked for the state government - her - in the past and - me - currently), which by the way, was the total opposite direction from both the accident and where they lived. I had asked them when I first got in if they were sure they wanted to drive all the way to my town because I didn’t have any money to give them for gas. The wife reassured me that since they were retired they had all the time in the world. In fact, they were excited about driving out this way because I live next to a naval base, the husband was ex-military and wanted to go check it out.

TLDR: I had a bad thing happen to me and the blow was lessened by having a pretty good thing happen to me all within like an hour and a half.

Even a Lust for chocolate? Lust isn’t Fornicatio/Prostitution but Luxuria I.E. Desire.

Fornicatio can be Purple. Considering how much Lust there is for chocolate and other Brown things like Coffee, Coca Cola, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, etc. I would say that Lust is Brown!

Ah, but Willy Wonka’s main color is purple. And if there was every a physical embodiment of Chocolate Lust, it’d be Willy Wonka. Check and mate!

Is lust used for things in english? I know it is not the case in the original language.

Edit : Just checked it seems lust does mean more or less desire in some context. But, then it is not what the real deadly sin is about.

I know this might be surprising, but Jaina has a lot of ice spells.

Glad you’re okay!

I’m mad that you can’t get Judgemagister Gabranth’s outfit in FFXIV.

I think the primary distinguishment between lust and gluttony is that lust is typically sexual indulgence. Or opposed lust versus greed.

Made sure to get some transmog after I had that set.

You should show the back, 'cause I know those hotpants, and I know you got yellow diaper buns.

I do not mean an gulping down chocolate greedily but Lusting after the taste of Chocolate.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lust#Catholicism

The Latin for extravagance (Latin: luxuria) was used by St Jerome to translate a variety of biblical sins, including drunkenness and sexual excess.[5] Gregory the Great placed luxuria as one of the seven capital sins (it is often considered the least serious of the seven deadly sins), narrowing its scope to disordered desire,[6] and it was in this sense that the Middle Ages generally took luxuria, (although the Old French cognate was adopted into English as luxury without its sexual meaning by the 14th century[citation needed]).

Gulping things down compulsively is Gluttony. Eating food out of insatiable hunger or addiction is Greed. Desiring certain foods to savor or taste them is Lust.

Gluttony eats even after it has already been satisfied to the point of vomiting, Greed eats because it is never satisfied and Lust takes it’s time to savor what it eats.

Yeah… I think I’ll hang on to this set for a bit.

I’m pretty sure that yellow triangle is seared into my retinas after it bounding across my screen for an hour.

Oh no, dear, I wasn’t complaining. In the same area, over the course of an hour or so, I bumped into three male Miqo’tes and another male Elezen, all in that same quest set.

Like, I wish WoW would fanservice me like that.

My favorite low level FF gear are the literal oven mitts.

So I’ve decided to level my rogue today. Since BfA was announced I’d pretty much planned on a Zandalari mage, but I’ve been feeling Zandalari rogue lately. I mean my sub is still up at the end of March so we’ll see how long this goes, but it’s something to do.

I’m not likely to play Horde again for quite some time. But I still occassionally muse on character ideas, just in case. One particular one gravitated to was a Zandalari Rogue. A street urchin-y, thief and pickpocket type, and an adherent of Jani from their lowest of the low social standing.

Hello everybody, it has been a long while, maybe i’ll be a regular here again. I don’t know. Hi.

that sounds pretty solid. I’ve been thinking it’d be cool to RP as an exile.

My first time venturing to these new forums… It’s odd…

Anyway, I updated the Archive. Don’t know if it’ll ever need to be updated again.

Brown is probably fine them. Maybe pride could have been purple because of associations with royalty.

To each their own. I just got to this Dravinian Duty I’ve been spamming trying to get the first good set I could find. It is something like Ishgarian Cleric set.

Poor Hanashi. They turned you into a quest mob and forced me to kill you in Voldun. This is one kill I deserve to be shamed for.

I’m excited for how many future storylines BFA is teasing. It will be nice to be done with the messy faction war stuff and shift over into less destructive, more enriching storytelling. WoW has such a vast array of plot threads, I’d love for an expansion to pay tribute to the wealth of story it’s built up over the years – kind of like how Vanilla was a grab-bag of various threats that were built up over the entire leveling experience.

If I can learn it, I’m sure anyone can! There’s a series of YouTube videos explaining some of the finer mechanics on a channel called “Party Elite”, that helped me a lot. Watching a few Let’s Plays helped too, with understanding campaign priorities and strategies. I think you’d be great at it!

And yes, you do get a bonus “full map” campaign that includes every single faction if you own both games. The scope of that campaign is worth the price many times over, if you ask me! All of the DLC is very worth the cost, too, besides maybe the Beastmen one. But the great thing is that, even if you don’t own the DLC, every faction still shows up as enemies. You’ll never run out of unique interactions and exciting matchups ^.^

Thanks for sharing your story, it was very heartwarming to read. Glad the accident didn’t cause any injuries, and doubly glad you met that charitable couple! Hopefully the post-accident stuff isn’t too much of a headache – I know how bothersome that can be.

Oh goodness, I’m undead! And a skeleton too, how lovely. I’m free of the torpid bonds of flesh and can finally fight in the Skeleton War! A cause for celebration, not shame~

Ah, right, also also! I got so excited catching up that I forgot to post what I came here to post! I finally knuckled down and did all the dungeons required for the Pride of Kul Tiras storyline, finishing it just last night. And, freakin’, jeeze guys! It was really worth it! That Thros cutscene, my goodness. It was so well-done. The musical cues, especially – tossing Arthas’s theme, Jaina’s theme, even a little Warcraft 3 music in? Mmfff. Such a satisfying resolution, too! Definitely worth the pain of the four dungeons.

I also got exalted with most of the current reputations, bar Champions of Azeroth and the Tortollans. Yay, world quest event. Three beautiful new horses, check~!

Now I just gotta do the 8.1 War Campaign quests and hit Uldir LFR and, bang! I’m caught up, and free to play alts. What a nice feeling~
