I resurrected this lounge after it was dead for so long.

Anyway since I’ve been rambling about my ongoing battle with the Spanish language, I’m curious what everyone’s most frivolous language to learn would be?

For me it’s far and away Swahili. I know a handful of phrases. Mainly “WATCH OUT! BIG SPIDER!”. I’d been confused over an event with a wolf spider where I thought the word for danger was the word for large spider. My Kenyan coworkers never let me live it down and referred to every problem as big spider, much to my annoyance. Screw me for trying to pick up a language.

Yeah that looks like a Jordan Peele horror movie trailer in places but I can’t find a less cringe one.

Suffice to say it struk me as a beautiful language when two roofers/fridge technicians would bicker over sandwich delivery payments.

It already had literally no effect on the story and accomplished nothing, now you want her to have died from it as well. How would that make it a better story?

Isn’t it weird how Wrathion uses dragon whelps as Battle Pets in the Celestial Tournament, when he WAS a dragon whelp? Someone could’ve used him as a Battle Pet.

I hate how Blizzard turns good villain motives into “feelings issues”, and then the authors raise their index fingers and say “Be mad at the character, not the writers”.

Sometimes I wish we gotten Villains that are actually evil instead of what we got now. I really hope we see Good Villain in Dragonflight instead of surprise one.

They should release a Wrathion dragon whelp battle pet. I already have Emmigosa. Maybe have them synergize well with each other, and perhaps release a third named Dragon Whelp battle pet that synergizes with both.

Forsaken fan: I’m okay with the forsaken betraying their living lordaeron counterparts, using chemical weapons, forcibly raising the dead to bolster our ranks, experimenting on the living, etc

Sylvanas: I burn a tree, and raise a few undead at lordearon and everyone looses their damn mind

It’s hilarious the double standards used sometimes on here

She firebombed a population center explicitly stated to be unguarded after massacaring her own people.

That ain’t really commensurate with throwing the uno reverse card at weird crusaders trying to exterminate people.

That was kind of the best part.

(I am sure I will get the requisite hate for this sort of thing, but I am used to it)

I try to be honest, and I must say - I thought it was a nice detail in A Good War. It was kind of fun being in Sylvanas’s head in A Good War. It was a lot less fun in BtS or the Sylvanas book, but in A Good War, I enjoyed the small details.

I love that when the fallen Night Elf says that to her, Sylvanas takes it in, and is very calculating. In her head, she is like: “huh. Good to know, dummy.”

I just love small little details like that, that let you in on what a character is thinking.

Garrosh destroys Theramoore, Horde fans cheer because a man did it.

Sylvanas burns Teldrassil, she’s the worst monster this game has ever seen.

Sexism is present in this forum on a daily basis, even from the people you would not expect, and I’m tired.

We have people who RP happily eating people, we have Night Elf fans who think Incels and Proud Boys are ‘decent folk’ but I’m ‘the crazy one’ for having opitimistic hope. This forum is wild.

So I have been playing castlevania mirror of fate and I got spoiled a bit I am not happy what they did with a certain character. Specific Trevor

It’s still a really strange double standard forsaken fans use though. They do it, it’s awesome and fun. But a woman does it and y’all loose it

It’s tiresome and getting really old to be honest

Lol no one supports garrosh the people saying they do are memeing. I myself didn’t pick up on it at first not saying sexism isn’t present on the forums I mean look at how GD reacted to the recent change. Also the hate towards LGBTQ community is so unreal it’s partly why I left to be honest

Literally everytime Garrosh comes up I make fun of him for being a rage case tantrum child who only got where he did because of nepotism.

The reason I hate Sylvanas more is because I never respected Garrosh.

oh that makes so much more sense, you signed up for the faction who commits warcrimes and then has the audacity to have a shocked pikachu face when that faction commits genocide. This isn’t a inherent problem to Sylvanas alone, you admit to liking the Forsaken because they are morally bankrupt but then hate Sylvanas for taking a shot at a formidable enemy and winning, The Forsaken can commit warcrimes, that’s cool in your books but when Sylvanas does it you clutch your pearls because you didn’t expect the leader of your faction of warcriminals to commit warcrimes. You are scapegoating Sylvanas and you think that’s okay because you are somehow morally above her as a Forsaken fan.

okay bud.

You got your feelings hurt by the pretty undead lady, grow a pair.

Nah I just don’t think the murder charges can stick if you immediately unkill the victim.

Kinda hard to resurrect ash.

So just a reality check here;

Why are you defending the story beat written by a known sex criminal that actively humiliated the most prominent non human female characters?

Because Sylvanas really comes off like some MRA’s strawman about how a woman should never be President. WoW’s first female leader and she nukes the only matriarchal society in game because a man told her she wasnt crazy.

Then it takes a coalition of men to do something about her. Seriously Liadrin, Talanji, Thalyssra, Voss - none of them do a damn thing until a trio of three literal patriarchs turn up and sort it out. And she loses because she simply cannot control her emotions long enough to not throw a literal REEEing tantrum.

And you’re accusing people of misogyny for not caring for this story?
