I’m right there with you. The boat just isn’t a replacement.

Wish I could get to a trust level that didn’t limit the amount of likes I can give out. Feels like something they should be able to increase your stock of. Give me back my unlimited likes, Blizzarddddddddddddd! It’s fun to like things!

Hey, thanks for this post! I’m going to be leveling another of my 110s in the coming month, I think. Either Hanashi here or my Druid. I think I’ll try out your strategy for a little change of pace ^.^

It’s doubtful that all of the Dragonmaw are out of the Horde. For one, I wouldn’t assume every single Dragonmaw joined Team Garrosh, and even setting that aside, much of the Horde’s resilience stems from their capacity to accept and forgive. For example, Baine allowed a faction of Grimtotem who’d just invaded Mulgore and occupied Thunder Bluff to remain in the good graces of the Tauren, and during Wrath the Horde leadership readily accepted that Sylvanas was unaware of Putress’s schemes.

Given those examples, and Blizzard’s love of keeping all possible plot threads open for the future, I’m sure there’s at least a chunk of Dragonmaw somewhere in the Horde. This is further supported by the dubious situation Treng alluded to – in the PVP Artifact skin unlock quest during Legion, a Dragonmaw NPC, Gorfax Angerfang, is among the representatives present to honor the player. The reason his presence is considered dubious is because that NPC is also the target of an Alliance quest in Wetlands. If that quest is canon, he should be dead. Then again, it’s not the first time a kill quest objective has shown up again in one piece, nor the first time Blizzard has overridden quest canon.

Regardless of the Schrodinger’s Orc situation, though, his presence at least makes it clear that Blizzard intends the Dragonmaw to still be a presence in the Horde. Whether anything will come of that remains to be seen. Personally I think it’d be neat if they became a customization option for Orcs or Mag’har a la golden-eyed Blood Elves.

Anyway, speaking of playable races, I finally unlocked Dark Iron Dwarves! It was a really fun series of quests, besides the dungeon requirement, though even that was rather painless. I loved visiting a “Greatest Hits” version of old Dark Iron-y areas, seeing what was going on in Molten Core nowadays, all that jazz. Moira and Thaelin are always delightful, too.

Picking a class was difficult even after all the thought I’ve given it. Gender was difficult too. I tried a female warlock and warrior, and male mage and paladin. Eventually, thanks to the mount and a spark of RP inspiration, I settled on a male paladin. I may still roll a girl someday, though, or race change an existing character to one after unlocking the heritage armor.

Incidentally, since my Lightforged was a paladin too, I deleted and remade her as a hunter. That was also partially motivated by a spark of RP inspiration. Basically, for as flashy and showy as the Army of the Light was, I figured they still had to eat, y’know? So I thought I’d roleplay as the cool, tech-savvy hunter who hauled in one exotic beast after the next, stalking unfamiliar territory. It’s been pretty fun! I haven’t tried hunter in BFA yet, and even at level 20 they’re quite enjoyable~

Oh wow, typed a lot more than I expected. Sorry for the wall of text! Hope there was a good answer for you up there, Baxter, and hey, welcome to the forums! We always appreciate a good question, and yours was great. Hope you stay a while ^.^

I’m starting to enjoy playing my warrior, but I have zero desire to run two characters at max level.

Maybe I’ll gear him and then use him for mog runs or something.

If you wanna get ghetto-geared quick, have a friendly blacksmith (or better, if you are one) craft the Sinister Combatant pieces, including weapons. If you can, add in a tailor for the cloak and jewelcrafter for the rings. My shammy hit 120 Friday and jumped up to iLevel 315 once everything was equipped (except the rings, which I never got). World quests gear rewards dynamically scales with your current iLevel and you want to hit 320 ASAP to enter the easymode war fronts for real ghetto gear. Then just target azerite pieces and you’ll be 320+ in about an hour.

Also, don’t forget Timewalking holidays. One dungeon for the 500 badge quests and you can replace a few non-320 pieces quickfast. If that’s available, I’d make this the second stop after equipping any crafted pieces, to boost those WQ rewards further. Even just buying a TW chest pieces and refunding it after getting an azerite pieces helps a lot.

I just started gunning for Draenor Pathfinder lately after realizing the leveling add on I use assumes I have flight. I’m also trying to figure out how best to get myself goblin gliders as well

Yeah, aside from the rings and trinkets everything else is well within my gold range to grab as soon as I hit 120. I’m hoping to hit 120 tomorrow so I can gear through TW to get into Arathi and fish for 'forges.

Rings and trinkets are the hardest. Warfronts don’t award them (or is my luck just really that bad?) and WQs only award the rare 330 iLevels. I usually do a handful of BGs to get at least 340s for those.

Yeah, as far as I know, the warfronts don’t drop rings and trinkets. I’m hoping to get them from timewalking so I don’t have to run specific dungeons for them.

Also where can a girl get a BrM weapon. I’ve got 340s and a few 370s all over but my 298 weapon has been dragging my ilvl down for months, not that I care much lmao

Jewelcrafters? They make staves now (cuz inscription can’t have any fun), so maybe there? But warfronts also drop weapons.

I’m conflicted about the trust level thing. I’d like to have 3, even though I think I’m permanently ineligible because of one infraction about a month before the new forum went live, but I also really dislike that the level exists in the first place because I hate it when people post stupid image memes in place of just writing what they think.

maybe you still can, i also had an infraction like 2 months before the new forum. so maybe you are still fresh in that front.
because i have level 3,both in the forum where i post regularly (latam) and here.

Oh. Well then I’m only 2k posts read away from possibly getting it already.

…I feel pathetic.

I’m not sure where to ask so here goes.

Besides Monks what Class are Pandaren known for? From the lore I know Pandaren are great Shaman and Warriors.

I’m mostly interested in the lore about Pandaren and their interactions with the Light.

Huh you’re right! I have it

I read 3K posts in 30 min on phone by just scrolling down a huge thread (I did it on WET lounge), It could be faster on PC.

Shado-Pan has an awesome ninja aesthetic, so I think rogue is also a good choice. Their member Taoshi was in Uncrowned as well. I’m not sure about their relation to Light, maybe you could try making a new thread to pose your question as Lounge is not very active in terms of Lore help.

I saw another more active thread in the Story Forum that is for general stuff like I asked here. I’ll see where that goes before making a whole new thread.

I… Don’t think they have one? I’m not 100% on panda stuff, but as far as I can recall, their worship and shrines and stuff is more focused on the August Celestials, wild gods, which would place them more in the shamanism/naturalism camp than a Light worshiping one. I don’t think they have any beliefs based on the Light at all.

As for classes, like Dawny said Rogue is a big one. Hunter seems like it was going to be one, with a whole relatively unused area near Jade Forest filled with hunter-types training eagles, but I don’t think it’s been otherwise expressed.

That’s the idea I got from what I know as well. Pandaren Priests work in kinda-sorta the same way as Troll Priests with Loa and all.

What I’m trying to understand is if there is a more substantial ‘vector’ for Pandaren’s connection to the Light, something like a Naruu or Elune but in Panda form.

Funny how in Sailor Moon’s first Season Usagi Tsukino’s Nightmare in Episode 5( which Dream Tuxedo Mask saves her from) is a scarier creature than all the Youma she fights in the entire season…

It is fortunate that there weren’t any Villains that could knew Sailor Moon’s identity as Usagi, could read her mind and summon the Nightmare from it or she would have been in big trouble!

Another thanks for suggesting this. I’d like to unlock as much of the Warfront gear as possible while they’re current content, which means leveling up a bunch of characters to max level and getting them to an item level high enough to actually enter Warfronts. Seems like this will be a pain-free way to do so, at least until the inevitable gear catchup of 8.2ish.

Absolutely. My last two remaining blues are my rings, and my trinkets are only purple because one of 'em’s a crappy off-spec Darkmoon trinket. Not a hundred percent sure what to do as a casual player to rectify this, but it’s sort of a self-limiting issue because it’s not like I need good gear to do casual junk xD

Hello hi it’s me again, I dumped a big ol’ wall of text on your post about this in the other thread. Normally I’m not that insane, but today I’m really sick and your post was the last thing I read before a multi-hour struggle with various terrible symptoms. Basically every semi-lucid moment was spent pondering freakin’ Panda Priests, lol.

Thank you so much for giving me something to turn over in my head during an otherwise really poor couple of hours. And welcome to the Story Forums! Hopefully I don’t sound like a broken record, but people with great questions are wonderful additions to the community. Discussions like yours are the stitching in the big cozy Story Forum quilt ^.^
