It’s true, you could RP them as coming from anywhere. Made fun of a Fire Mage. Unfortunate accident with a candle. It just feels telling that, as of right now, Night Elves are the only race with the option. I feel like, if the burns were from more innocuous sources, Goblins would be first on the list to get them.
I got a new boost with the Shadowlands preorder. But can’t decide what to use it on.

I remember when the #1 unofficial forum rule was created, that being that all lore threads are Sylvanas threads. Now with Shadowlands, I’m wondering if that will be changed to be about Calia instead.
I would argue that Calia threads are a peripheral sub-class of Sylvanas threads, as there’s always the inevitable comparison to Sylvanas, and most tend to revolve around how un-Sylvanasy she is.

Something Forsaken related have always been the major derailment of this forum. Back when I first joined the forum, it was infamous for threads to derail into arguments about who rightfully owned Lordaeron.

Looking at Silent Hill 2… I wonder what would happen if someone smothered an Hyperactive Little Girl demanding to go to Silent Hill with a pillow and decided to drive the kid to Silent Hill out of guilt only for the kid to wake up alive and well shortly after the killer got there at the moment the Fog World rolled in…
The would-be Killer’s relief, guilt and resentment towards the Little Girl would get both the would-be Killer and the Little Girl harassed by the Town(which would also create an idealized slightly different looking copy of the Little Girl) to fulfill the would-be Killer’s desires one would think.

I couldn’t imagine Mary(James’s dead wife from Silent Hill 2) could even be capable get out of the back seat of the car(the writers for the game said she was shoved into the back seat of the car) to reveal her survival due to her illness and lively kids like Laura(another character from Silent Hill 2) seem like much better survivors of pillows…

Nah. It’s just me messing around with the new options in the Wowhead Dressing Room. I just thought it was funny you’ll be able to make a Night Elf with the High/Blood Elf color palette.
Now Night Elves can get in on the long-lost relative act, like half the RPers in Quel’thalas.

darn I was kinda hoping we’d see Dath’remar or some such.
Though… not sure where. Dath’remar doesn’t seem the sort to have ended up in any of these particular afterlives.
Maybe Revendreth, at a severe stretch? He was kind of prideful. And the giant magical storm was a bit much. Though likely not enough to need purging of his sins.
Like, I know we’re going into the Shadowlands to fix the machine of Death, so of course our first stop is the realms that keep the machine running. And if there are no problems for us to fix, there is no story. But I kind of wish we could see some afterlives that are just chill places of rest for those who don’t want to take up a grand cosmological purpose.
