Store transmog and why It's a problem

I made 333k for my frog! I could buy 2 tokens with that money, have gold left over…AND bnet ballance left over after getting the item!

It harms the game and makes it worse, development is being taken away from fun in-game enjoyment and put into the cash shop, which me as a paying customer am getting harmed by not only getting less while paying, being charged more for stuff that I shouldn’t be getting charged for.

If you can’t comprehend that…yikes…

Hot take: If they made an actual fun game that people liked to pay to play in the first place, they wouldn’t need more revenue

You literally said “Some person on the internet guessed that subs are at X number” and I called you out. Grow up.

Imagine thinking grinding gold is in any sense of the word, fun…yikes…

Of course you would, you can’t even comprehend why that’s a bad idea…

I actually like this transmog. And now I can’t wear it if I got it due to the stigma around how it’s obtained.

That makes me un-happy.

Everything in the cash shop should have a in-game route of obtaining it via story and questline.

So you’re gonna tell me heart of the aspects isn’t way cooler and better looking than the Twilight Harbinger? Because we needed a third color of the same exact mount. It’s a slap in the face of the players that Heart of the Aspects wasn’t the reward for that achievement.

I didn’t say it was fun. I said the option was available.

There are a ton of things that require getting a bunch of gold in game. I don’t see anyone creating a forum crusade to get vendors removed.

Bottom line…its an in game activity. Its a way to earn the mount in game.

Don’t go all Double-Standard on me now. I wouldn’t want you to be a hypocrite.

You called me out on the statistics I found from researching multiple sources on google. It’s not my fault you don’t like them (because it doesn’t fit your narrative) and refuse to look it up yourself.

It’s a cosmetic they could have just put into the game, like an epic quest reward or dark moon fair reward or something.

They could just throw it on a vendor for like 300k.

…oh wait.

Neither is grinding rep, farming herbs or ores, PvP, pet battling. Didn’t say it was fun, said it was “an in game activity”. Besides, many players find the AH game fascinating, which I think is insane. :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Proof.

Where is the proof that they do not have a team completely independent of game development that develops solely for-purchase items.

Is what FFXIV does. I’d not be shocked in the least if WoW did as well.

Oh okay, just playing captain obvious about a point that doesn’t need to be made and is completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand? Got it.

Speculation/opinion. Continuing to wait.

yea im sure but the time they release it makes me think that. i mean they a big company financially im sure they are still doing okay. either way if people want to buy it then buy it idc. i do give them props on the little advertisement vid they made though it was pretty clever if you get it.

No it is not irrelevant to the discussion at hand. Just because you want to ignore it, doesn’t make it irrelevant.

This is from your first post.

These are literally your words. That you believe all items should be obtainable in game. I am showing you how they are. So why is it suddenly irrelevant?

It’s almost like there is a thing built into the game that allows you to convert gold into bnet money.

It’s funny because in 14 there is not this option. So not only is WoW’s cash shop incredibly conservative in comparison, it also allows you to basically bypass the real money aspect of it.
