You literally asked me what kind of transmogs we get from quests. Literally any armor you get from a quest is considered a transmog…so…like, TONS of items, buddy.

In fact, some tier sets you actually have to do a quest to get…

Because they are not using that money to design things for the shop. The shop has its own team and its own budget. It pays for its own development. You get what you pay for made by the game designers, if you want what another department makes, then you will have to pay them for it.

Could be far worse they could turn wow into a slog fest grind.

Imagine having to whip out that credit card to upgrade your weapon like in Black Desert Online.

Imagine what if like some Chinese company games they made it casino box’s where you may or may not get the clothing piece you really wanted…

What if they made it where inventory slots you had to buy 1x slot at a time but they are temporary unless you buy another thirty days for your inventory slot.

What if everything you did in-game including in-game mail became micro transactions?

Well compared to all the above I think spending thirty dollars on a cool in-store item is child’s play and could be far worse so sit down-shut up- and buckle up Dearie cause Wow as it currently sits is Heaven compared to some games out there.

You literally cannot prove that…like, at all. Blizzard makes more money than any other MMORPG as It’s still the most popular. You literally cannot prove that our money isn’t being spent to pay people to make more items that we have to pay even more for…

And guess who pays that budget? The company that leads them, the one you literally pay to play.

So let me get this straight, you’re honestly going to tell me when the shop first started the employees who worked on it didn’t make ANY money until people bought their stuff?

Yeah, even worse. You could just buy gold tokens and then pay people to carry you and get the best items in the game without having to do anything. Carries are literally advertised everywhere in the game.

And guess why nobody plays those games / they’re nowhere near as successful as Blizzard? Once again, saying “This game is worse” is not a valid reason in my opinion to let Blizzard to make poor decisions.

So what? We wait until WoW 100% is exactly like them before we’re able to speak, master?

When Blizzard first started everything they’re doing now is out of the ordinary. Players literally said things like “Blizzard will never add level boosts, if they do it will cost $100 at a minimum”

Even the only other mandatory sub game has a far more egregious (if you want to look at it that way) cash shop.

Blizzard isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary, well other than not going as full bore as elsewhere.

Thing about it is Wow did provide you a way to play completely free you just need to spend some time and learn the auction house.

I prefer to pay a subscription games prevents the game from turning into a complete microtransaction Hell fest. Also means more content rather than a 2 hour patch like say Star Trek Online.

Gold tokens are a good thing they made the Chinese Gold Farmers go away, and with them there is less account hacking going on.

Yea you may not have been around for the Chinese Gold Farmer hacker epidemic where they would literally hack in dead corpses to spell out their Gold Selling sites in both Org, and SW.

It’s not free if you have to spend time to make money to play the game. Game’s are meant to be fun, sure, you can say some people have fun just sitting in the auction house. But if the majority of people found that fun, everyone would have brutosaur mounts. Basic items would cost 500k each.

That’s literally the direction WoW is heading, though. It started with mounts, then pets, then toys, now armor sets…what’s next? It’s just getting out of hand. We’re paying a monthly sub and expansion costs, why are we getting charged for basic content?

I still see them, maybe it lessened for your server but look at illidan and other popular servers. Trade is still spammed with them.

Those problems went away with 2 factor authenticators in my opinion. Ever since I’ve had one, I’ve never been hacked.

Oh I remember that. Flying naked alts. That all stopped before gold tokens were implemented, though, from what I experienced while playing.

You’re right, It’s not free. I pay less for my subscription and and it’s included with that discounted cost.

I suppose that makes it a cost reduction?

Why exactly are you against me paying less for my subscription than the month-to-month jokers?

Well obv no one wants to fight over rare spawns that isn’t fun . And no I did the baal pet grind and the nightmare unicorn puzzle mount while people were still figuring stuff out before they revealed the rest of the clues so don’t just assume things about people . As I norm don’t mind a good grind but fighting over mob spawns wouldn’t be fun .

I’m not at all. People are free to pay however they want and do whatever they want. I’m against in-game things like transmog being put into the cash shop and charging us more for it.

People can say “it’s one set” all the want, but we’re being charged a sub fee and an expansion fee. Being charged for in-game transmog feels like a slap in the face and abuse of the fanbase.

But you don’t have to anymore. All tags are shared.

Ah I haven’t done either of those, but sounds like you had a hard time. I bet you feel accomplished and good you were able to get them, hm? More accomplished than spending $30 on them?

I’m not worrying over nothing. I literally am saying even one transmog armor set in the store is unacceptable. More effort was put into the set than any armor set that’s been created thus far. It has custom fit ear holes for every race in the game, there’s no helmet that’s like that and It’s something players have begged for on multiple occasions that I’ve seen here.

Like do you just not like a 6-month sub model? Is that the underlying issue here?

Or is this some misguided stand against price gouging that doesn’t exist since you know, you can literally pay LESS and get everything included. That would only make sense if you had to pay month-to-month at the higher rate to have this included.

Considering how the community has no control over itself and are easily getting baited to do lfd /lfr if it provides 0.1% damage boost who even adjust to design decisions that they hate .

I would predict there would be a lot of angry nerds and no consequences as usual. Except BLizzard would make more money . :dollar:

Yeah!, if there are players who hate the game and are still playing it will only improve the game as more $ more content paid or otherwise.

What you really should be preventing is Loot boxes and gambling much like how m+ rewards are right now ,except its not transitioned to the store yet. So save your guns and bullets for a bigger fight.
