that’s ironic coming from you, to say the least.
I think I’m standing up for what I believe in just fine, without making myself look like a fool.
A lot of people apparently aren’t or like me, are annoyed that they’re going to start adding transmog items into the shop at all. Something that shouldn’t happen, just like people talked about how much they hated it 10 years ago that made them stop.
Nobody got it for free, though.
Obviously it didn’t make them stop.
I got it for free.
The people who already purchased a 6 month subscription got it for free. It’s something they added onto what they already paid for.

Technically they got it less than free because a 6 month sub makes the individual pricing less than those who pay monthly.

I got mine free, Ive had a revolving 6 month sub for years. I was rewarded for my loyalty with a free gift.
Funny thing is, they could of added this to the refer a friend thing and nobody would of whined about it.
Even though the way people actually use those systems makes it cost way more then a 6 month subscription.
“I enjoy WoW, I may as well pay for 6 months of sub because It’s cheaper. Oh the expansion sucks I’m not going to play” I can re-type it as many times as you need.

Playing for 6 months isn’t loyalty just an FYI, it also wasn’t free, you paid $70 for it.
How do they use them? 'Cause I recruited a friend just this week who’s never played WoW and gotten some of the rewards already. They actually paid for 6 months after they hit 20, too.
The expansion always lasts more than 6 months. You paid for server access anyway not an expansion.

I payed 6 months of sub for access to the game server as I have for many years. The mog showed up in my wardrobe poof with no action taken by myself.

We can fight all we want about the Store Transmog and their looks. But we can agree on one thing.
Mechagnomes look terrible in everything if it shows their legs.

Likely earning this in game would be: “Spend the next 9-13 days farming a specific Brightwing Darter in Ardenweald that spawns randomly anywhere in the zone and only has 40 health so it’s harder to tag but drops a currency you need 100 of to buy the mog from a vendor you need Revered with.”
No. Nothing wrong with some cool unique cosmetics in store. There were plenty for you to grind for in in BFA and plenty more to come in Shadowlands.
Also:
A sub is required to play WoW, so yes: 6 month subbers got the mog for free because they already had a 6 month sub
