I just want to say, to whoever is making the decision to turn mounts (Celestial Steed, Heart of the Aspects, Enchanted Fey Guardian, Grinning Reaver, etc) that were clearly designed as in game rewards, into store mounts, you are by one of my least favorite people at Blizzard Activision.

This latest mount, Nether-Gorged Greatwyrm, was obviously supposed to be the reward for the latest Blood Elf heritage questline instead of the 15 year old green Hawkstrider. If you needed a store mount to keep your subs numbers up, stop being lazy and cannibalizing the work of others.

Props to the artists that have made so many of these great looking mounts over there years. As for the higher ups that’s forcing these to be cash rewards, I hope you step on 10,000 legos, you’re a plague upon this game.

Alternate perspective: what is wrong with a company having a rewards system in place for players who maintain long term subscriptions while also having a way for non long term subscribers to also obtain said rewards?

If you’re going to sit here and say that this mount doesn’t match the Blood Elf Heritage armor, I’m going to call you blind as a bat as well as a hypocrite.

It’s literally a Mana Wyrm in Blood Elf armor/saddles.

Gonna be honest here. Op is kinda right. The design even the gem color ( “blood” elf hello.) is too uncanny to even dismiss. Edit: Blood elf starting pet as well as the first cinematic both also had mana wyrms as well so dragon hawks ans mana wyrms are their symbol. :man_shrugging:

I like making things up and getting mad at them too.

They’ve had a new 6 month mount every six months for like, years. Do you think they just walked into the office and said “Oh dang it’s that time of year again? Hey Steve, we’re gonna throw whatever you’re working on in the shop, k?”?

Actually don’t answer that question, I don’t have much faith in human intelligence left.

I’m pretty sure Bobby switches them from in game to the store while employees are on break.

I’m not sure on OP claims, but it is a known fact that store mounts get a lot more TLC than the in-game ones.

So you should definitely be against them as a player.

well yes, anyone with eyes can see that the store mounts have far more detail than many if not most in-game mounts. That said, there are some in-game mounts that are as awsome as any store mount.

6 month mounts are loyalty rewards that people had been asking for for years and years.
The fact they also let non-loyal subs get them as well is just to try and minimize the salt.

I think that mount is ugly.

Can’t use it properly as a ground mount in DF, can’t fly it in Dragon Isels. Double whammy useless.
