I will not que another arena game until you fix MMR, and balance the classes, thanks.
What about it do you perceive to be broken?
i seen it like if u play good like cc correctly line correctly and stop their gos but lose like go 2-4 u lose rating but dont gain mmr but if u go 5-1 u gain rating but dont gain that much mmr and u can be playing terrible so they do need to fix mmr and nerf some classes aswell
Mmr is working exactly as intended and correctly. What do you think is bad about class balance?
Rating adjustments are based solely on match outcome and the MMR of all players involved.
Because you’re placed into lower games when repeatedly losing or going negative so your gains are diminished as you’re favored or expected to win.
If you do well in placements, you honestly don’t have to put in much work to go for say… the weapon illusion? I think that’s a nice minimum rating to say “I’m done” with arena, even if you’re way better than that. I do it sometimes because I have a life. Sometimes I’ll go to gladiator, sometimes I won’t. Depends. I really care about this game a lot less than I used to.
What? You get like 60-100 mmr for going 5-1.
Time spent increases exponentially depending on the games you have played so theres times you can straight brick your character playing early season.
The MMR system needs the average to be averaged out to last 50 or last 100 games of your games, which is done by a lot of other games with ladders (LoL/Dota and SC2 all use this system).
The problem with the system is its not particularly fair for people who dont start at high mmr during the season. This is due to how small the ladder is and how low the skill floor is in things like shuffle / blitz where you can actually just rng los and/or rng draw where the person at 2400 will rng to 2400 and the person at 1700 will rng to 1700 and have to have a winrate of 63%-70% basically vsing the same people all the way to 2400.
The few things that needs to happen revoles around actually proper tuning or just reducing the amount of games that is average so you dont have times where you need to spend +50 hours doing something vs someone else doing it in 5 hours with both people being the same skill level.
Only way you brick a char is losing a bunch of blitz games in a row which can be fixed with a duo.
Feels awful starting at high MMR I’m not gonna lie. ![]()
OK, it’s fixed now.
Have fun!
Losing 2 is enough to brick a character for another 10 hours. worth of queuing. Similar to shuffle going 3-3 a few times can basically stick your mmr right at where it starts for another few 6-0s or 5-1s its all about the time investment not the actually can i increase, can i decrease.
The ladder needs to be far more volatile and a slight amount of fixes need to be done to CC durations and healer tankiness, the game will actually be able to run on the small ladder it has atm without impacting how good the game feels 2600+ where people are playing to win without going for any specific reward.
47% win/loss ratioing a 2400 lobby is far easier then 63%ing a 1800-2400 for basically any healer in shuffles and any other comp in 3s.
wanna know if i go 5-1 3 times and gain no mmr but sa u say i lose i dont gain mmr but im winning but also mmr is how u play not other players moron
