lol I got distracted editing the other post and took too long
Nope. My main isn’t on the account this toon is on and thus won’t be linked. I am thinking of swapping to my druid next season though. We have a tank that may be going on hiatus and that would give me a toon I can just spec swap between tanking, healing, and dps’ing as needed.
People keep saying that gear shouldn’t be relevant for other people and that they should just have “fun”, but then keep saying they want the same gear for doing next to nothing because it’s relevant for them. Why should it be relevant for you and not them?
What makes you so special, that you should invalid the time/effort investment of people doing 3/4 of raid difficulties and up to 2100 rating in pvp. When there’s already catchup when new raid comes out to enter the beginning difficulties. And that there is content to catchup if you want to go in higher difficulties like m+ because there’s no weekly lockout to it.
I recall making a group for Atal’Dazar +2 a week ago. I sat there with one other person for an hour. I’ve since decided I don’t want to do that again. Making your own group doesn’t always work.
The game no longer works the same way it did in Cata, time for you to move on man. Now there is no way for anyone who has been gone to catch up to raiding with their guild unless the guild wants to spend weeks running mythic +. Back in other xpac we could funnel gear and carry people to hook them up. Now you may be carrying people for weeks and months due to the forced personal loot system.
If you haven’t noticed the game is only getting smaller and catering to 10% of the player base is not working. This by the time someone can afford to upgrade to 430 ilvl Heroic grade not mythic, Raider will have had that gear for months.
It’s so dumb to complain that someone is able to get some gear months after you have already obtained it and have everything on farm.
I know you didnt. The person i was talking to in your quote of me was
depends on what your expectations are. Ive had plenty of success with it. As have many others. LFG gives a player all the tools they need. Whether or not they use those tools is on you
I see a lot of people saying raiding and similar content is about the achievement and xmog and not the gear. Ok let’s roll with that. Part of what makes an achievement important is rarity, so after a tier is over, all achievement and xmog models from that tier are locked, and cannot be obtained again. That way the wq crowd gets their gear and ilvl and raiding has a true trophy and achievement. I think that’s fair.
Yeah it can be rough sometimes, particularly as a dps. I often see dozens of groups containing 3 dps when I look and I just feel bad for them. If you want a fast group either you need to be a tank or healer or you need a friend who is to group with. Having either one of those will kickstart your group to the fast lane. It’s unfortunate but that’s pug life. Otherwise you get to sit there and hope that people like your key over the other ones being listed.
I’m trying to figure out how you can not see the absurdity of saying those things together.
The game is getting smaller so you should quit too! (Yea that certainly will help the game to have more people quit)
There’s already catchup that existed in the game, with each new raid scale content so you get a bit more gear. Making it rain heroic level of gear, is a bit too much of compromise to make the content acessible, all it does is removing incitatives from doing more content.
No, it doesn’t actually. Just like gear, you raid to get access to achievements and transmog before others. And then they catch up, if they want to in this case. It’s just a little more delayed than a tier often times. You’re not some special snowflake that deserves exclusive rewards.
That’s because 90% of the people playing this game have become like the OP. They are Elitist and only want geared people who have Achives or they are those who have never gotten an Achive but wants everyone to carry them.
Most of my guild only logs on to do raids anymore. I was extremely disappointed with BFA and took a 6 month va ca from Nov to April, now it’s nearly impossible for someone to get geared enough to raid with my guild unless you are already geared.
I haven’t seen a guild Alt run or gear run since mid Legion. No one is willing to help other people anymore and the community has become apathetic and has lost the idea or understanding of why MMOs exist, and it’s not so that the uber skilled players can sport their narcissistic gear around.
…Or you, too, can do WQs and be rewarded with high I-Level gear without completing “difficult content” and, simultaneously, be pleased that others are also getting their money’s worth from their subscriptions doing content that they enjoy and feel comfortable with. You sound entitled, as if your $15/month is better spent than someone else’s $15/month.
