Stop The Classic Boost

Stop the classic boost

Heh, you realize that that argument comes from Blizzard, right?

you realize that argument makes money for blizzard right?

Wow, that’s a great justification. If that’s the best you can come up with, you deserve a raise.

Quality of the game, building a community, getting players invested in their characters and the game…who cares about that crap. That design only created the biggest mmo in history. But that time is past. Now let’s hook up a needle and drain the players dry.

Exactly.

It’s soo annoying all you see if all the retail players asking for the boost. Trolling us hard. BLIZZARD do you not see how retail is did you not learn your lesson.

“If they dont agree with me the’yre retail players!”

Thats a sad coping mechanism right there

everyone who disagrees with me is a retail player!!

Yikes.

a one-time level 58 boost turns TBC into retail!

Mega yikes.

I was on the fence about playing TBC Classic, but I was strongly considering it simply because I like my guild / guildmates so much. However, upon learning about the paid 58 boost service and how players will have to pay if they want their characters on both Classic Era and TBC servers, WoW is completely dead to me. Retail was turned into a husk long ago, and now the greedy ghouls steering the Blizzard / Activision ship are killing Classic as well. RIP. I refuse to support this slimy garbage.

Nice troll try. Find someone else if all you want is to argue. I have no need to defend an opinion nor give citations. Suffice it to say it’s my opinion. No more, no less, and nowhere did I state anything as a fact.

This video isn’t excellent. Most of his arguments are either circular or reductive.

It is indeed a pretty bad video all around.

Isn’t this how it is now?

Unless you buy a mage boost, yeah, it pretty much is.

I don’t have any issue finding a group on my server. Benediction, alliance, come join us.

Thread #5313 on “boosts”

Madseason made zero valid logical points, everything revolved around a purists personal feelings on it. I like Madseason, I really do… but he didn’t make a single good point that can’t be easily argued against.

TBC was for many the greatest expansion. If they make a fresh server, cool… I have no doubt it’ll be a low pop server. I hope they do it for people like yourself.

I don’t think the point of the video, or any argument one makes in any discussion, was about producing ironclad points that no one could ever hope to counter. Madseason was quite clear that he A) despite obviously thinking the bad outweighs it does see some good to having the boost, B) still thinks TBC will be fun and C) he assumes he’s pissing into the wind about this at the end of the day.

Ultimately if you watched his video and think there’s absolutely nothing of value in it that says more about you than it does about the topic at hand. I can’t really fathom anyone worth having a discussion with if you can spend an hour listening to the opposite side and just completely write them off. You’re either the world’s best debater or your head is so far stuck in the sand that you’re no longer capable of acknowledging something as a legitimate if you don’t agree with it.

Lol, what? I literally said it was a purist’s personal opinion, which it is. Where is the rest of your comment even going? When did I state he wouldn’t still enjoy TBC… I addressed his “concerns” and none of them are logical outside of personal reasoning. Not everyone has to agree, that’s why forums are a thing. So if you wanna discuss it, we can do that… instead of assumptions.

He’s mad that his precious retail got threatened.

These kids really forget how big TBC was
