Stop rewarding the 1%

There is SOOOOOOO MUCH STUFF for you to go get. I guarantee you don’t have half the stuff out there. Adding additional stuff to the cash shop would turn this into a garbage Asian cash shop mmo and I would be out so fast.

If you want more cosmetics go play the game man. There’s an insane amount out there.

I have plenty of cosmetics. I don’t much care about the shop. I pay for expansions and subscription fees. I shouldn’t have to “earn” the things I already paid for.

Another world quester wanting PVP rewards without PVPing thread? Lol

Lol… But you didn’t pay for things. You paid for the ability to play the game. So go play it

Sure I did.

My motivations for paying are mine to define. They offered me the ability to play the game, but I paid for things.

I also paid for forum access, so I’m getting my money’s worth right now.

The OP got more likes than any of the garbage elitist posts arguing against it. Faith in WoW community restored!

Yeah that comment kind of floored me as well. Cash shops are the worst thing that ever happened to MMORPGs. It basically rewards lazy players with big wallets and takes away any incentive to play the game hence the reason so many cash shop games have very low retention.

Lol no man, you pay to play the game. That’s how every game works  Bonkers. Just bonkers.

This is actually completely untrue? How did you get that Council tag? This is embarrassing.

Just because a vocal portion of the playerbase is misguided or easily convinced by misinformation, doesn’t mean they are right.

The entire complaint is that the “1%” is rewarded. With less than 1% of unique items.

Its an empty complaint based on…well.

A person either being ignorant or just flat out selfish, requiring every single reward and activity be tailored to them.

This game revolves around creating content and rewards for “casual” players. Its 99% of what is available. There is very little in the game created for the people (the “1%”) being complained about.

Using words like “earned, work, investment, job, career” to describe WoW make me cringe into the next dimension.

You must be new to WoW, and MMORPGs in general. As the “risk vs reward” concept has been core to it for 25+ years.

Maybe MMOs are not the game for you, since its basic foundational stones make you cringe.

And thats ok.

why is that? :eyes:

100% agree.
The devs gave forgot that early MMOs evolved out of single player games, they were single player games you could play with friends. Now the game is designed exclusively for the top 1% with everything else feeling (and looking like) an afterthought.

Just like in real life!

As long as you don’t actually play WoW and just read the forums. I can see why a person would believe this.

The moment you actually play WoW, this entire statement is shown to be a lie.

Basically all the rewards made over the past decade have gone to the same incredibly small group of people, it might as well just be their game

The EULA that you agree to by playing the game disagrees.

You can’t honestly believe this.

I can agree with investment, job, career, work.

Earned however, is something I disagree with. I have reached Duelist for the first time ever, something I thought I couldn’t do, and it’s made me appreciate the enchant that much more. I feel visual, tangible feedback is much more fun to earn than just say, text in the form of a linkable achievement.
