yeah. A few of them dont seem to get it that this deflection crap isnt making us like the changes. Its an insult to our intelligence and personally its making me contemplate not paying three subs when they expire.
But thats what blizzard today is good at. Doing the exact opposite of what should be done.

It’s really, truly, very simple.
Don’t take things away from players.
Taking things away = you lose subs.
Stop taking away flight. Stop taking away cool abilities. Stop taking away character progression by making us ‘reset’ our power levels every expansion. Stop removing glyphs that I already bought and making me re-buy them. And Stop removing and moving around the portal locations.

portals to everywhere hasn’t been in the game since bc, what are you talking about?
Removal of these portals will add an hour of me sitting on my other monitor scrolling through forums and youtube every day, how is that immersion?
Most people don’t run the amount of old content as the people who are so against the removal of these portals, so they don’t see the impact either way and just go about their business, but for me and many others it is literal hours a week just alt tabbed while waiting for some arbitrary timer.
Flight and portals have nothing to do with immersion, they are for efficiently navigating a world that has become so large that they are necessary for doing anything more than current content. If you don’t do more than current content as part of your daily routine then the change doesn’t effect you to nearly the same degree so you clearly can’t see the actual impact removal has, while their inclusion does nothing but help parts of the world not feel so isolated that it isn’t worth doing.

The thing I can never get behind is players that want to splinter things even further. Right now we have sharding, crz, warmode phases, and now we’re saying go back in time if you want to have fun again? We’re so separated from each other that I’d be surprised if there are several servers out there that even have a community anymore.
Also it feels like we have to go back for the game to move forward again. Which feels bad. Modern WoW is not popular at all.

yeah, you know why they were there? because you actually had content there. but you know what? i didn’t have this reach anywhere in less then 5 minutes that we have in the game today do we? CoT is no longer current content, and can still be easily reached by hearthstone -> capital city, uldum portal, ~2 minute flight to cot.
back when it was relevant sure. why do you need it now?

to farm transmog… it is something that is far more entertaining than the entirety of battle for azeroth
In ESO in any given zone, it will take you roughly 30 seconds to get to a wayshrine to not have to pay at all to teleport. Each zone has roughly 5 wayshrines. I can zip into a zone, do what i need to do, and move on to the next zone near instantaneously. In wow I have to fly there and then run and then do the quest, and go back to the flight point to go to a different zone. I would love it if wow had the zone wide teleportation system of ESO because i enjoy not having my time wasted by travel time between content that I have done multiple times before. New content, sure, i enjoy the exploration and adventure of it. But if I have done it before, i would like to be able to do it faster.

Since when has content become obsolete and who makes the decision? I’m pretty sure blizzard added achievements for old content long ago, and added the collection tab which encourages old content farming. Just because you don’t run old content doesn’t make it not worth doing and to think it does just shows ignorance.

Instead of spending time getting rid of portals, why not add a portal room in every major city for every xpac that actually goes to dozens of different locations?
What is wrong with portal travel to cut down on the time traveling?
Portals make doing old content easier. Why is that wrong?
Hint: If you like old forms of travel, like walking, you are always 100% free to travel that way, even if there is a portal to that area. Same thing is true for those that like taking flight away from us since the new WoD dev team came to power, you are always free to use ground mounts the entire time you are in game, but stop forcing us to use old outdated travel methods.
