Stop punishing players for trying to run back quests/dailies

I just got 6/7 of my daily yet again because im not a lazy … and i release and run back on a obvious wipe while people kite and kill the mob you need. Like its ridiculous im in the instance ID why the f am i being punished for making an effort to save a wipe/get back there quicker?

It’s more that you are outside the instance/zone entirely and it’s just not a capability…

Next time, don’t release until everyone wipes.

If your party is going to wipe, you aren’t going to make it back in time to save it. If your party isn’t going to wipe, then you’re wasting their time waiting for you to run back to where you died. If you don’t release, then you will either get credit for the quest and can be quickly ressed so the group can continue, or you will all release and run back at the same time so no one is waiting for anyone else

Play dumb games, win dumb prizes. You can’t even get back in time to help because the quest mobs are near the end.

In my experience, anyone who has ever used this quote is the paragon of projection.

As for OP, that is silly that you’re punished for trying to contribute more. As others mentioned, I think you just save yourself the effort and don’t release as you wait for the kill. It’s not worth missing the kill.

If you going to call someone dumb by projection, they should probably be wrong with their advice.

OP, one of the unwritten rules of WoW is to never release when you die until everyone else is dead. This applies to raiding and dungeoning. In your mind you are being “helpful” by trying to run back quickly, but in reality if the group survives you just slowed everyone down by entire minutes. So your nice but misguided selfless decision becomes a burden for four other players, and thats not so selfless after all. If everyone wipes then you just release quickly and run back as a team.

When you release without wiping its viewed as a mistake or wrong on your part and people are not likely to want to pay for your mistake. That may not be the nicest thing to do, but its on you to learn as well. I hope this has been helpful.

TO BE FAIR, screw that RP, everyone wants to get outta there asap.

Roflmao, The paragon of projection is blaming others for your own stupidity.

Understand the frustration, but that’s kinda your bad.

Don’t release until it’s a full wipe.
Not only will that make you miss credit for the kill, but you will also miss the roll for random loot drops.

Are you new?

If you use Weak Aura I suggest you get “Fojji - Don’t Release V2”, this prevents releasing by mistake.

No you’re not lazy, just ignorant of how any of this works and think that you’re helping others when really you’re just hindering the entire group and yourself.

Literally just sit there dead and wait. Best case, you got credit and a res and then the entire group moves on quickly, at worst, it’s a full wipe and you all try again for full group credit.

What you’re doing is the worst in all situations.

OP almost killed LK on ptr still stuck on saurfang? Imagine defending not giving credit to a quest because u ripped aggro off a tank or didnt get healed and maid the effort tos ave a wipe. None of you play in a top guild clearly if you dont instinctually release. sorry i do pug with noobs likeu guys that die over dumb things/cant heal em unfort.

Neither of those two things are connected in any way…

I killed lich king in og wrath so no I’m not stuck on saurfang

Neither do you with those 5 weeks out of 5 weeks worth of grays for TOGC.

Bro your BEST avg parse for the phase is 16.7. Sit down.

You don’t release until CDs reset.

What kind of newblet releases with the sated debuff?

If it’s a wipe everybody runs if it’s not a wipe you wait for the rez.
