are you day dreaming? sorry, i don’t want to sound rude but there is no way that blizzard listen to the community or else they wouldn’t sell lvl58boost in tbc-c and 68/70 boost in wotlk-c
Blizzard actions in past few years proves that they have no idea about what the community wants, regarding retail or classic, and i’m pretty sure that more than half the community did quit for that reason.
This is yet another case of people conveniently forgetting the past it seems. Boosts, while not “popular” were very widely defended when they were being announced and when surveys were going out. It was a very common opinion that 58 boosts were perfectly fine.
If you need a reminder, the primary reasons people defended boosts constantly were that nobody cares about 1-60 content anymore, lots of people claimed to have quit early and were excited to go into tbc with friends, paid boosts were fine because mage boosts existed already so leveling was devalued, and that one boost per account limits mean it wouldn’t be abused (lol). There were even multiple threads of people discussing how it wouldn’t make sense for botting operations to use boosts because of the cost.
I guess its pretty easy to forget because we are at a point where it feels like very few people benefited from the boost and the 58 bots are running rampant, but the 58 boost had decent support and a massive group who just didn’t care or had given up so they figured “whatever let em do it”.
I’m not queing in the city i’m questing or herbing i’m not yelling in LFG in town like I would be with LFG bulletin and I did not say it had to be on release just in the xpac.
Also boosting you pay gold and LFD you just run the dungeon with other players and don’t sit afk at entrance bored
Let me ask you this:
Most people get boosted rather than quest or run dungeons for levels, how does the addition of LFD affect you?
Even with the implementation of LFD, you can still form groups and queue, and it was commonplace for people to form groups for specific heroics. How does that affect you? You can still shout in LFG channel to form your groups on your server. How does removing a QoL feature that opened the game up to people affect you?
are you high?
what about the classes changes / talent changes which only existed in 1.12Classic & 2.4tbc that arrived on day 1 of release? same with certain crafting items & quests, TBC-C arena season 1 came earlier to catch up with pve gear, Whole gear of T4 was already buffed in day1 & while it was on 2.2in original tbc.
the whole balance & setup’s changed around this, stop being clueless or hypocrite.
@OP, listen I hear you. I know LFD wasn’t perfect. My best comparison would be that it was like taking the bus to school. It was noisy and distracting and often annoying and full of trolls. But, BUT, it got the job done and sometimes it beat walking. It’s a tool you’re free to use or not use. I don’t think that can be considered a bad thing. I personally really want it to be included. It’s a good way to farm your badges if you’re stuck on a backwater dead server. I’m on pagle in a thriving raid environment with a bunch of guildies that help out, but I realize that that’s not everyone. No LFD will very like not effect me that much, but I feel passionately against this change for people other than myself. Maybe some others here should try that standpoint also.
Have you considered that you are the vocal minority?
They also conceded to the no-flyers in WoD and we know how that went: it turned out the no-flyers were the vocal minority and the broader playerbase was happy with flying and furious to see it removed. We can already see the same dynamic playing out here.
having Battlegrounds queue as Cross servers (Region wide) the day Bg’s was released in wow-classic. that X-server queue was not introduced until +1.5years of original release of wow-vanilla in later patchs, it’s the same story when people call out about lfd being in later patchs.
So…Wow at the hypocrites who agree on what benefit them and disagree on what benefit others when it’s the same thing.
Let these people vent OP. They need to create 10000 threads on LFD to make themselves feel better. It’s ok, they will all be there on day 1 of WoTLK classic and guess what? It won’t have LFD
Think its more of your crappy parses and gear is the reason you are having trouble. You are trying to get groups in AQ gear and Naxx this late in the expansion. Sure this is an alt but you sure do not know how to play a mage with the gear you have. Go back to boosting.
